Let me preface this by saying I would absolutely love for either a Gaga or a Lana Bond theme and that they are not mutually exclusive possibilities as there will be Bond movies coming out for years to come. But what are you basing this on, Skyfall and TWOTW? There are 22 other Bond movies with vastly different theme styles. Let's take a look. Here's Goldfinger (1964). This is classic Bond. Jazzy with a lot of brass instruments and the very classy singer Shirley Bassey (who also sang two other Bond themes) Spoiler And now for something completely different: A View To A Kill (1985). This is all out 80's rock. It still has some of the brass from 21 years before but, barring EDM, it doesn't get much more different than this. Spoiler But here's something no one wants again: Die Another Day (2002). Now don't get me wrong, its not because its Madonna. I like it as a Madonna song but it was just about the worst fit for a Bond song. I guess everyone made mistakes in the early 2000's tho. I think we can trust that the team behind the Bond films now would work with the artist to make the theme fit well with the tone and something like this would never make it. Spoiler @ 35 seconds This is how I would imagine a Lana Del Rey Bond theme to be like: You Only Live Twice (1967) I think you could agree her theme would be somewhat close to this: slow, moody, lots of string instruments. Spoiler @ 10 seconds As I said before, I don't think the team behind Bond wouldn't allow a song that that does't fit. I mean, they even cut a Radiohead song for Sam Smith. Spoiler Let's not forget that Gaga can thrive in multiple singing styles. I don't think I need to provide video of that since I assume you are aware of that due to the fact we are on Gagadaily I'm sure LDR can also work in different styles but she is more limited in what she can do than Gaga. I just think you're wrong in saying that Gaga "wouldn't do it justice".
