LebaneseDude 6,146
Via HuffPo A Donald Trump delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention has been indicted in Maryland on federal charges that include using a minor to make child ****ography, illegal possession of a machine gun and illegal transport of explosives. Caleb Andrew Bailey, 30, from Waldorf, Maryland, was indicted late Wednesday, according to a release from the Department of Justice. Bailey is listed by the Maryland Secretary of State as a delegate who will vote for Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. Trump won the Maryland Republican primary in late April with 54 percent of the vote statewide. Bailey was selected at the same time. Authorities were first alerted about Bailey in February, when he allegedly tried to send ammunition and weapons to someone in Wisconsin through the postal service, according to the Justice Department. In May, authorities searched Bailey’s home, where they seized a machine gun. The federal indictment also includes the allegation that “from March 2015 to January 2016, Bailey attempted to use and did use a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce child ****ography.” Bailey is not the first Trump delegate to cause a stir. Earlier this month, Mother Jones reported that the campaign’s California delegation included notorious white supremacist William Johnson, the longtime leader of the white nationalist American Freedom Party. The Trump campaign claimed that Johnson’s inclusion was the result of a “database error,” but the deadline had already passed to submit another name to the California secretary of state. Johnson eventually resigned from the delegation, because, he said, “they don’t need the baggage.” Edited just now by LebaneseDude.

Spyro 8,438
don't really know what it has to do with trump but anything to hurt his presidency is welcome by me (if it's legitimate, of course). Spyro the Dragon

Litteraly nothing One, who is claiming that Trump has anything to do with this man's actions? Second, claiming this has nothing to do with Trump is misguided, as this underscores the lack of integrity in his personnel connections. You are held responsible for who represents you. His history is nothing new. He was not vetted properly. If he was, they chose to ignore it. Either way, this is a failure on Trump's part. *cut for controversy * Edited just now by LebaneseDude. The article makes like this person is connected with trump. mot people dont know what a delegate is. They read this tite and think trump is connected On your second point.... get the f*** out of here. A delegate is supposed to represent the people. Bernie has some Hillary has some and Trump as some. To make some kind of negative connection with this person actions and a Candidate is beyond absurd and down right stupid but its also a little desperate on your part to paint Trump voters as immoral people. Lets be clear a lot of these people are politicians/ other people. They are not clean no matter what side of the Isle. I bet Hillary has some just as dirty. ughh this kind of stuff makes me so mad. sorry

The delegates represent the people, but they carry the banner of their preferred candidate. By transitivity, they represent Trump in the name of their constituency. I don't get why you're stating that I'm accusing the Trump voters as immoral people due to this issue? What does this delegate have to do with them? I believe they're immoral for supporting a xenophobic, jingoist, racist, misogynist, and sensationalist candidate but I digress. I'm fairly certain most politicians are not clean, yet apparently people like to assume otherwise when dealing with political scandals. This should be a nice refresher, although Trump certainly doesn't need it. I don't get why you're so viciously defending Trump really. Are you a devout Republican? If not then perhaps you should stop playing devil's advocate when you have no case. Edited just now by LebaneseDude.

I am a Republican and there is nothing wrong with that. And Trump doesnt choose Delegates the RNC and DNC does.. "At the caucus, delegates are chosen to represent the state's interests at the national party convention. Prospective delegates are identified as favorable to a specific candidate or uncommitted. After discussion and debate an informal vote is taken to determine which delegates should be chosen" Im not deffending trump because hes a republican. Im trying to shift through the BS here. Im not even sure if im voteing for trump as of now I dont like when people mis inform other people and then we have a bunch of mis informed Bias out there

Trump is part of the RNC. Trump had a hand in choosing potential representation. Trump could have just covered it up but he said it was a database error. He had a part in it. Stop trying to paint him as innocent. In any case it ultimately does not matter. Your arguments are shifting the blame more towards the RNC. What do you think of that? Nothing of course. Anyway arguments with Republicans are always futile. I'll just drop this right here. Go ahead and vote for Trump dear. Edited just now by LebaneseDude. What do I think of that..... wtf is that? How old are you if I may ask? Trump has ZERO to do with picking delegates. No republican or democratic candidate picks who will be a delegate. Stop trying to make like hes pulling the strings here. If you where even a little informed of this process you would know that Delegates are chosen by RNC/ DNC and states which is mostly establishment, which is for the most part against trump since trump is an anti establishment candidate. And with that knowledge one could conclude that no candidate in there right mind would choose to let someone who is against them be a delegate if they could. Your hypothesis is without any facts or evidence. You are spiting out random BS. For what reason I have no idea because its just ignorant and un informed. YOUR argument would have been 1000x more intelligent and i probibly wouldent have protested so much if you said "How could the states/ RNC let this person be a delegate" Although the only issue I would have had is they probibly didnt know. Instead you claim Trump choose this guy to represent him which isent how this works at all
