BREAKING: airplane en route from Paris to Cairo disappeared from radar

An Airbus A320 "EgyptAir flight MS804" en route from Paris to Cairo, Egypt went off radar, along with 10 crew members & 56 passengers on board.  Hoping everyone is safe. :ohno: 

INFO:

-Suppose to leave Paris 11:09pm on May 18th

-Was supposed to be a three and a half hour flight

-Plane went off radar around 2:45am local time

-Made public around 5am Paris time.

-The plane was 80 miles away from Egypt airspace.

-Captain had 6,000 flying hours, co-pilot had 4,000 flying hours

-66 total people: (56 passengers - 53 adults 2 infants 1 child) (10 crew - 2 cockpit crew 5 cabin crew and 3 security crew(?)

 

Distress signals were issued

The families of the people on these missing planes go through so much :(

The flight was scheduled to leave Paris at 11.09pm local time – that’s around six hours ago – for a journey time of around 3 hours 45 minutes.

It’s not clear at what time contact with the plane was lost. The confirmation from Egyptair was made public around half an hour ago.

Just a note: Cairo and Paris are in the same timezone.
