Remy follows Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Dej Loaf and Missy Elliott. Remy Ma is best known for her 2004 #1 hit "Lean Back" with Fat Joe. Ironically, the song Remy enters the Top 10 with is with Fat Joe. The song, "All The Way Up" currently sits at #52 on the Billboard Hot 100. Remy was poised to be the next big female rapper, but when she released her debut album in 2006, the album failed. This was around the time that the GP was losing interest in female rappers, so perhaps it was bad timing. In 2008 Remy was sent to jail for shooting a woman. She served 6 years and was released in August of 2014. Maybe this is a comeback for Remy and she'll be the next big female rapper. I'm glad she's making a great comeback. all the other female rappers haven't received a great comeback yet. Hopefully Lauryn Hill will slay again as well.
