Gaga: Universally Liked Now?

For years and years people talked trash about Gaga. I heard it in person, saw it on the internet and saw it on TV. She was a VERY polarizing artist. But now, I never see anything bad written about her. People are always praising her these days. So has Gaga become a universally liked artist like Adele? Are the days of Gaga being polarizing over? What's your perception of it? And do you think this could help the success of LG5?

She will never be universally liked, she doesn't want to be universally liked. But I could say the level of respect people have for her now is bigger than what it was around 2012-14 but lower than 2009-2011,

I'm not sure I'd say she's universally liked, but I would say that people have a lot more respect for her now. I remember back in the TF/TFM days I would hear a lot of people claiming she couldn't sing, calling her auto-tuned trash etc. 

These days people who don't like her tend to attack her on her authenticity and her originality, but they usually concede that she can sing.

I think she's a little less polarizing than she was in the past, but that has a lot to do with her not being "the big thing" right now...all it takes is a little success for ppl to turn on her.

But nobody is universally liked...even Adele and Beyoncé, who seem to be SO loved atm, get some ****, I see it all the time....

People know she can sing. But they hate the type of music she puts out.

Also the most recent lashings I encounter is that she should never have done the Bowie tribute.

Thank God, she's not doing one for Prince.

She's definitely respected more as an artist and individual, but she's not universally liked. She's still early in her career and her previous eras (excluding Cheek to Cheek) were all controversial in their own way, so she's far from being "universally liked".

Just Dance & Poker Face were the only moment when she was truly universallly acclaimed, as close as it gets. Everything from there got too artistry or too deep for the general public. But that is just my opinion

No. Everyone likes her because she has been playing it safe for two years. The real test will be when LG5 comes out. It's hard to dislike her when she's wearing pretty dresses and singing jazz.
