I KNOOOOOOW we don't really need another one of these buuuuut...

I just wanted to compile what I consider to be possible clues for LG5's direction given the clues we have.

In order of most realistic/possible directions/influences:

Best hint:

Probably the most complete hint at the direction would be her most recent studio cover:

Second best hint:

Probably the second best hint we have considering her and her main (at this point) producer decided to perform this together and she's even been learning to play electric guitar for real:

Another good hint:

Probably a good hint considering that it includes all the elements she's been into lately, and also it's written and produced by TWO of LG5's producers, Mark Ronson and Nile Rodgers:

Songs paving the way for LG5's success:

And I personally believe that the current success of the following two songs is paving the way for her new sound to be a success on the charts!:

This one was even produced be Mark Ronson (look at him in the thumbnail):

And this one I think is another way-paver, but missing some elements:

Honorable mentions/recent influences:

She's been really feeling her disco roots lately:

She posted this on Instagram just a few days ago saying "This song speaks to me on a deep spiritual level as a woman thank you. RADIOHEAD.":

THERE... I think I got it all out :P

COME THROUGH GAGZ with your funky disco-rock with electronic influences. My body is READY. Do What You Want with it.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

go to 2:37, it is the original artist in her video.

OT: you raise some awesome points that i seemed to have forgotten, so thank you for reminding!
i'm still unsure where Gaga is going to take LG5, but that's part of the hype i guess:giveup:

You're totally right   I don't know why last time I looked up this song I thought it sounded so different. It's exactly the same :laughga:

Bad Bromance

You bring up some very strong points @Disenchanted.  Gaga is definitely going to have some disco/funk/rock infused tracks on LG5 and I can't wait to hear them all!  The best part of not knowing what to expect from Gaga on this new album is that it makes the wait so exciting!    :excited2:

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

I for sure think the things you posted are clues, with the exception of Radiohead. I'm pretty confident that Mark is gonna be the executive producer of LG5, and I'm 100% here for it. He knows how to produce good tunes without saturating them with too many production layers (looking at you ARTPOP 👀).

But let's not also forget that RedOne and DJWS are also working on the album (unless their ****'s been cut). And their productions are vastly different from Nile and Mark's. :laughga:

Speaking of Rock, I would like something like the Rolling Stones at their peak, epic like that:

That comment made me post that video here:

"At a certain point of time the Stones did´nt have to fulfill market standards or Radio Station bla, bla. And the "Sticky Fingers" Album was the break through. The Stones had the power! The latest I saw was Lady Gaga."

Gaga is WAY ahead of all of you.

She is going to bring back the early 2000s in a big way. The kind of songs that existed from 1999-2004

The early 2000s was like the 70s, 80s and 90s getting together, making up, and making love.

It totally has to do something with rock this time. But I feel like many of her directions never saw the day of light since C2C. The jazz-punk theme seemed so promoising :toofunny:

Nah, the real direction of LG5 came when Lady Gaga covered WHAT'S UP by 4 Non-Blondes.

Not at all. She covered 4 Non-Blondes to warn all the rock journo's that she is way more rock than they will ever be. It doesn't mean that she will incorporate mid 90s grunge into her sound. Her formative influences are from the 30s-50s (jazz), 70s-80s (rock) and 2000s era indie dance. Gaga never says anything about the 1990s.
