They went crazy. Too much success to handle the previous years :laughga:

No money left to present Eurovision 2018. :cryga:

Portugal made a very good decision finally. This song is fantastic!

I'm glad they are back, but I never really liked their songs in previous years. This song is a big step in the right direction. It was the best in the final and the jury will probably love it at Eurovision. It's so cute, small and really calming. It reminds me to some old Disney movies for some reason. This is quality honey. :diane:

I am definitely hating those two, but what's up with Jon? I find his song to be original, pleasant and magical, along with the girl and staging overall. They would be (along with Italy) only contenders for the win.

Nano is just no, and Wiktoria's song is so simple. It's a grower, sure, but there are far too many better options than her for me to be satisfied if she wins. I think that the two of them will take the most points from the public. Regarding international juries... I have absolutely no idea how will that turn out. I just hope they will sink them enough and give high points to Mariette, Robin and Jon. :neyde:

Here is a nice recap of Melodifestivalen (finale) for everyone who's interested. Dear lord, if Eurovision had this kind of production and awesome songs every year... :lolly:

I really like Jon too for the same reasons, but I'm worried it will bomb at Eurovision.

You don't need a grower at Eurovision tho. You need a song that gets you after the first listen. I really find Wiktoria her song bland, uninspired and nothing outstanding. Her vocals weren't that good either. I do think Ace will benefit the most from the international jury. She always get high scores from them. I hope Robin can steal some points away from Nano. I really have no idea how this will turn out, but I do think I will dislike the winner.

My personal top 3 is (and the will all be my personal number one this year):
1. Mariette
2. Ace Wilder
3. Robin

What probably will happen:
1. Nano
2. Wiktoria
3. Jon

I do agree Melfest is delivering a better final than Eurovision, year after year.

Serbia released a instrumental snippet of their song:

It sounds interesting to me. I like the ethnic sounds mixed in the electronic instrumental. I really believe this can turnout to be a favorite to win the contest.

Greece will pick their song for Demy tonight. So we can probably add a top 5/10 song to the list too. Chez Republic will also announce their artist and song tonight. The leak from Isreal sounded nice. Tomorrow it's Australia their turn, so I've got hope for a good Eurovision year again.

Wow, I am really liking this snippet! If the vocals are good as well, it might end up to be a favorite of mine!

Same! It reminded me to 'If Love Was A Crime' for some reason, which I loved. I wasn't surprised to find out that a part of the team behind ILWAC, wrote this song too.

Sis, why you have such good taste? If Love Was A Crime was one of my favorite songs from last year's Eurovision! I loved so many entries last year but that one was one of my favorites, especially that chorus (I didn't understand **** but it was so catchy, you could still sing along.)

However, I still remember that I was rooting for Australia to win, but then Russia came in close (and I really did not want Russia to win) only to end up with Ukraine as the winner... which I did not get at all. I disliked the song so heavily at first but then I forced myself to listen to it a couple of times and I started to bop to it... in a weird, kind of way. :ladyhaha:

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but my late ass just discovered that Sweden won't be sending Loreen to the contest this year. What's wrong with you, Sweden?! :grr: I will not be voting for you this year like I was planning to do.

Because we're both from the Netherlands? :giggle:
Yeah, it was the best pop song that year in my opinion. Lmao, I also loved that orahamilufta (:cryga:) part so much. I have to listen to the song on repeat now, because it's in my head again. Poli Genova is also really adorable. She did deserve to be in the top 5 and I'm glad she made it. I hope Bulgaria will deliver again this year.

Yup, Australia became my favorite to win the title after I watched her live performance. Before the live performance it was in my top 10, but it felt a bit flat. I really disliked the song from Russia tho. It was so dated. The staging was great, but after Måns in 2015 it felt reductive. :reductive:
I knew Ukraine was one of the favorites to win the contest, but I'm still mad it did. Poor Demi deserved it so much more. We won't remember Jamala after some years (like Azerbaijan in 2011). :lana:

Loreen didn't get through the second chance round. Sweden still has some good songs in the final tho. You might like Mariette since she reminds me to Loreen. She did participate in 2015 too, but Måns won that year of course. Here are her performances from 2015 and this year:

Spoiler

This was her performance in 2015:

Sweden is fcked up. Melodifestivalen added a poll today asking which song from Melodifestivalen that is the song of the year. Here's how many votes Statements got..

2nd place so far is Jon Henrik with only 11%

Lmao, I don't get it... How is that even possible? It's not like all the voters in this poll are from outside Sweden. What a MESS.

I'm watching the Greece song selection right now and they used Euphoria when she entered the studio. Still the bop of Eurovision after 5 years tbh.

You can watch the Greece selection show here:

Lmao, I'm happy I can help you! Normally I'm spamming Twitter with Eurovision stuff, but I stopped using Twitter, so now I'm using GGD. :lolly:

It really is! I wished she had the same success after Eurovision tho. But it's not too late yet. :lana:

This year is a MESS like literally a an azealia banks sized mess. I usually say this every year but this time I am pretty sure I am not exagerating anything. Switzerland has the only good song and it is not even that great. Everything else sounds like it was recorded with a potato. I feel like countries arent taking eurovision seriously at all anymore. Otherwise they wouldnt shamelessly send such garbage to compete in one of the most important musical events in the world. And i thought 2016 was a horrible year. Keep going downhill sis :toofunny:
