Loreen is literally my favorite ESC performer of all time. I still listen to her music every week. I really hope that she makes it to the finale and wins. (Does this mean that if she wins Loreen will go to the ESC again this year? Sorry if I'm ignorant. :ohno:)

Sweden really puts a lot of effort into their songs. When I think back to most of my country's entries (The Netherlands) I feel so much embarrassment. Now that we're sending O'G3NE to the contest, I have no doubts that their song will be amazing because their voices are wonderful and they mix so well together. :excited2:

I'm also really excited that Australia is back again this year. Their song last year was heavenly. :golfclap:

Yes, if Loreen wins the final she will go to Eurovision, which of course must happen

Lose control. Let go and fall. Do you get the satisfaction?

She better wins because then I already know which country will be my favorite. Too bad that Sweden is in the first semi-final and the Netherlands is in the second one. That means I won't be able to vote for her. :udidnt:

You can compensate by voting a few extra times in the final :lolly:

:ladyhaha:

You can count on that, sis. I remember that I only voted for Loreen during the ESC 2012 finals and I will do that again this year if she gets picked again. Once a loyal Loreen stan, always a loyal Loreen stan. :kara:

When she performed "We Got The Power" during the finals the year after she had won... I was blown away. I ran to Twitter trying to find a download to the song because I just had to have it. The Swedish people better pick Loreen again because they'd be crazy not to. She knows how to sing and perform!

One bad thing about being from Sweden, if she goes to Eurovision I'm powerless to do anything since you can't vote for your own country :cryga:
I'll help her get there instead :gaycat:

No worries, I'll just vote for her a few times extra in your name. :gaycat:

I'll only do that if you fulfill your end of the bargain: get the good sis Loreen back onto the ESC stage!

Many people are frickin' mad and I understand why. However, I don't understand how fans don't realise the simple truth - Loreen's song and staging is to experimental to be liked by the masses. Her singing was not good, I could barely understand some words, some parts of the staging were off, not interesting, not to mention the horrid camera angles. She didn't deserve the final. And she definitely doesn't deserve to win.

Come for me if you want, gurls. I am waiting :classy:

Also, Mariette or Robin for the win.

On the other hand, I am mad with Ukraine and Denmark, former picking a bland rock song and latter choosing a bland pop song. This year is going to be so bad. 17/43 songs are revealed, and I still like only 4 of them. It will either be a shitty ballads contest or the other countries will miraculously opt for much better songs.

At least she's #1 in Swedish iTunes, so the Swedish people has some sense. Except that, they have no idea what art is.

Yeah, I'm still mad too! It feels like the older people voted for Jon and the younger people voted for Wiktoria. Or people expected Loreen in the final for sure and they made sure their second favorite was in the final too. I don't know, it feels weird that she didn't make it. Let's hope she can pull a Robin Stjernberg. It's a shame she has to compete against Anton, because I really liked his song. On the other side, she can perform the song again and if she makes it to the final she has a advantage. Songs from Andra Chansen normally end up in the top 5 in the final.

I'm not coming for you, buuuut I do disagree with some points. If Jamala can win with 1944, I'm sure Loreen can do well with Statements at Eurovision. I do understand that this song was a risk, like I said before, so you are right about that. But come on... Wiktoria her song was not that good and her vocals were far from on point. She didn't deserve to qualify for the finals. Loreen her singing was not good? Girl, I'm sorry, but at this point I really coming for you. How are Loreen her vocals not good? She mumble some words, but she did that too with Euphoria, she always did that. This has nothing to do with her vocals, it's her style. You like it or you hate it, I love it. Her vocals were on point, almost angelic. Come on, she was belting out these notes like her life was on the line. Her staging was not bad in my eyes either. To me it was a performing art and I'm not being delulu when I'm saying this. But to make sure you don't feel attacked, don't take my post too serious, I just wanted to share my disagrement, haha. I really like to hear different opinions, and I really appreciate your posts here.

If Loreen really wanted to go to Eurovision again she picked a more GP friendly song. I really think she wanted to share her story. Of course she wouldn't mind to go to Eurovision again. But she is not there for winning it, but to share her story to a even bigger audience. And that's why I love Loreen so much. It's the same thing with Gaga, they don't care about succes, they want to share their voice. talent and story. It's really a brave move to use your power to perform something different instead of something more commercial successful.

I'm really glad Jon Henrik and Aninia did make it to the finals. I know it's familiar to his song in 2015, but I really think Aninia adds something to his song. It feels magical and the vocals are really strong again. And they both look really good. Jon didn't became second for no reason in 2015. Sweden really likes him and his sound. And I'm really digging it too. Still I'm not sure if Eurovision will like this, but it sure does fit the Melfest stage.

But I gonna be honest now. I do think it's Mariette her time to go Eurovision. Loreen already made her impact with Statements. Everybody in Europe is talking about her and her performance. I'm a huge Loreen stan, call me a Warrior, but I love Mariette too. Of course I want Loreen at Eurovision again and I'm still rooting for her, but Mariette deserves it as much at this point.

Denmark, I'm proud of you. Anja did deserve it this year. Her song from last year was a bit stronger, bit she did deliver a good song again this year. It finally adds a quality song to the setlist at Eurovision.

Ukraine had a tie in their final. The fan favorite TAYANNA and the rock band O.Torvald both had the same amount of points. I liked TAYANNA more, but they let the people decide which of the two was the best choice and they picked O.Torvald. I think that's the best way to do it, even if my favorite lost the tie. Spain should've done the same. It's nice to have some rock at Eurovision, it's not my cup of tea, but it's always nice to have diversity. #CelebrateDiversity

Moldova picked the right song. It was the only song I heard from the final and I'm glad they picked it. I'm not sure it will do well, but it's a decent song. They participated before at Eurovision in 2010. Their Epic Sax Guy went viral, so they have a name already. If you don't know what I'm talking about:

I'm looking at the Swedish iTunes now. I love it how it's almost filled with Melfest songs. I'm glad Mariette is in the top 5 too. I really don't get the hype with Wiktoria tho, same with Nano... If one of them wins I really gonna unstan Sweden for a year. :madge:

It's funny how Loreen is #2 on iTunes now, behind Jon but ahead of Wiktoria. I really wonder how close the votes were last night, it seems like a small gap between Wiktoria and Loreen.

Sweden seems to love Jon the most. Do you think he can win it this year? I wouldn't really meltdown if he does.

Her singing was not good as in she was mumbling too much. Yes, that's her style, but when I don't understand 50% of the song even after I read the lyrics... Then it really isn't good. And yes, staging, dresses... Everything looks very cheap, very Molly Sanden last year which I also disliked a lot. It could and should be much better. Unless she changes a lot of things, I will stan more for Mariette, Robin, even Jon. She came, she made some statements. But they just won't fit Eurovision. Not strong enough and not clear enough for me.
And of course I won't feel attacked, I was just joking. Agreeing to disagree is just fine with me :hug:

I think that Loreen's performance was terrible, very very trashy and not in a good way. It was filled with pathos and possibly similar political drama to 1944.

I do not support such choices for Eurovision - it is supposed to be a fun, colourful contest as it always been.

waiting for Kerli to slay the lessors!
