Whatever she makes will be good music though. But come through Gagz and Give me that funky-disco-rock with electronic enhancements! I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. The singles will be a more upbeat disco/funk/rock mixture (see I Want Your Love) and the non singles will probably delve into each of those genres more and will be a little more vocally oriented. And she's probably tired of Bad Romance too. I think Gaga really just wants to make music. Great music. And she wants to explore. And I'm happy with that. She could come in and really change pop music again if this album is successful. People seem to forget that 'pop' isn't a synonym for 'electronic dance music'. Pop music is whatever kind of music is popular at the time (and it has to be catchy too). And Gaga was actually the one who really came in and made EDM blow up in the mainstream. Also I feel that songs like Uptown Funk and Justin Timberlake's new song Can't Stop The Feeling (which are both doing really well in the charts) are really paving the way for her album to be a success! I think the mainstream is ready for pop music to go in this direction again and it couldn't be more perfect timing for Gaga to go this way. The stars are aligning again for Gaga to slay. Some ballads, some energetic songs (radio-friendly, but not dance), rock influences, classic pop influences (Whitney, Celine, Lara Fabian) with lots of piano and violins, no ARTPOP-sounding songs, great melodies(as always from Gaga) wide vocal range and beautiful tone everywhere. Pop music is popular music: it uses the simplest verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus structure and catchy melodies to reach the greatest amount of people. That's it. It can be infused with any other kind of sound to add flavor (hip-hop, rn'b, disco, electronic, rock and so on). The "Pop" Gaga fans however seem to think that EDM pop music is what's Pop. The Beatles are a pop band, even if they went on some very experimental tangents during their existence. Elton John is a pop artist. ABBA is pop. They made pop for their times. The general public is extremely fickle however. So the sound that's popular today isn't the sound that was popular yesterday or the sound that'll be popular tomorrow. Which is the issue here: the kind of electronic dance infused pop that Gaga made during The Fame and The Fame Monster isn't all that popular anymore. Thus she needs to implement different elements in her music if she wants to regain success with the GP. The music is likely still going to be pop, just not EDM-pop.
