You are right. I am an ageist a 14 year has a clear understanding of how the adult world works. That's why they are allowed to drink legally, drive legally, join the army legally, they are in charge of their own health care, they are allowed to drink legally and most importantly they are allowed to view rated R movies.

What was I thinking making a comment like that? They are equal to adults in every way possible.

I guess I should have prefaced with /s. Pardon my inability to predict your lack of a sense of humor.

I'm not condoning his language. It's simply become clear, even to me, that a lot of people here attempt to engage in political discourse without even putting the effort, much like teenagers tend to think they know everything when they don't.

I hate to break it to you but that's not a thing special to teenagers. The amount of uninformed adults is devastating, but instead of just treating an opinion with the weight it might deserve it's just far easier to dismiss based on age I guess. I mean we wouldn't be having this conversation if that poster had espoused pro Clinton sentiments but whatever I suppose.

You're absolutely blind if you think Clinton supporters haven't done or are above any of these tactics :rip: I've seen countless Clinton tantrums on both FB and Twitter. Negative articles denouncing Sanders from major publications have far outweighed Clinton's. You are out of your mind if you think Clinton supporters haven't lobbed equally hateful rhetoric at Sanders. You got me on the digging up the past comment, but I attribute that to my preferred candidate not actually having such a dodgy history.

When have Clinton supporters ever crashed a Bernie rally or booed him during his speeches? :rip:

The worst articles that Clinton supporters have made is downplaying how much of a messiah Bernie is. They all understand that Bernie is leaps and bounds better than any Republican. I have not once seen an article that calls Bernie anything worse than a "false prophet".

Your own views of Facebook and Twitter do not reflect reality. I too know some crazy Clinton supporters. They are simply not as active on social media and don't make as much a ruckus. It's clear that Bernie's demographic is the "young white male" and those tend to be the rowdiest of the bunch

What rhetoric has been lobbed at Sanders in the media? He hasn't even been remotely discussed. That may not be a good thing but it's not a bad thing either. He's managed to avoid negative ads because Hillary doesn't want to alienate his supporters and the GOP want him to win because he's easy to beat. :rip:

Sanders has a very dodgy history. If Clinton has more dubious things, it's because she's had a much larger impact on the world sphere. You need to treat these situations proportionally not numerically.

Why are you trying to imply that I'd support a misinformed Clinton supporter?

I wouldn't fight him though. It's your job to prove him wrong. It's just that many of you can't.

The issue is that I've noticed that many Bernie supporters here are wholly incapable of functioning on a defensive mode and end up misdirecting into offenses against Hillary because it's way easier to namecall and throw around rhetoric than it is to defend your preferred candidate through logical discourse.

In any case this particular user isn't misinformed. He's just very aggro. Honestly if I weren't as patient and cordial I'd probably be the same way. The way many users here casually dismissive any argument thrown at them is infuriating. They wouldn't survive a moment in real life debates. It's a good thing they have the Internet to shield them. I wish they'd use it to learn though.

Oh and yes I'd put more faith in a conversation with an adult than one with a teenager any day.

Now you're just flat out lying :rip: The media cycle against Sanders has ranged from "oh wow he can only get the white vote hmmmm" "Oh Bernie Bros? Sanders seems to attract a lot of misogynists hmmmm" to claims of delusion, inexperience, of unbound ineptitude. Can you show me these apparent horrendous media tirades against Clinton from major news outlets because I can hardly seem to find any. My own views of FB and Twitter can't factor into this? Then what on earth evidence do you have to support that Sanders supporters are on some far worse level than Clinton's?

The fact that he can only get the young white vote is based on actual facts. :rip:

You can't find horrendous media tirades against Clinton? You been living under a rock? :rip:

From her talking cynically about baking cookies after being criticized for not being a traditional housewife, to Whitewater and Benghazi.

Please let me know if a Clinton supporter has ever been disruptive as Bernie supporters in the 2016 presidential race and I'll take several seats.

It's not implication, it's what would happen. You have no issue with agreeing that his opinion is easily dismissive due to his age but as I said this conversation wouldn't even be happening had the post in question not been pro Sanders. As for the rest of the post it's a major case of pot calling the kettle black. Users have been defending him using logical discourse and it's casually been dismissed throughout this entire race. No side on this forum is anywhere near perfect, but you absolutely can't lob an accusation against Sanders supporters that can't be lobbed back. To attest otherwise is disingenuous at best and flat out lying at worse.

Um,.. you're kidding right? I've had some very interesting debates about Bernie in other places, but never once has anyone held their ground on GGD. Don't even try it with me. In fact every argument I've had with a Bernie supporter here devolved into them lobbying different accusations from another topic to misdirect how little they know the subject matter.

That's not to say there aren't any rational Bernie supporters here. They just don't argue in defense of Bernie. It's always in offense on Hillary. Either that or they don't even contribute to an argument.

Notice how almost NONE of my posts have been directed at Bernie. I always am on the defensive here, with me pointing out Bernie in order to bring him down from the level of a messiah or point out supporters' hypocrisies.

:saladga: I did have that one meltdown when he said he wouldn't support the democratic nominee though. I hate it when people go against their word.

I didn't say a good chunk of his supporters aren't white, but the subtle implications trying to be passed off along with that are highly irresponsible. As if somehow Sanders hasn't talked enough about issues facing minorities or somehow his policies just aren't as good for minorities as ("super predator" Clinton) is just gross. I mean never mind that you have countless articles discussing how the "Bernie bro" is simply a cheap political smear tactic

Or the fact that this VERY SAME tactic was attempted in 2008 by her supporters lobbing the pejorative "Obama Boys"

It's not a subtle implication. It's simply generalization of demographics. Bernie's supporters are mainly young white voters, mostly male. The numbers prove it.

Please don't quote random articles to try to prove any point, especially when their sources are dubious at best. The first two are so biased it hurts.

Also trying to use Clinton's supporters from 8 years ago in a situation today is ridiculous. She does not have any PUMA today. That's Bernie's thing now.

Ugh the misdirection :saladga:

Ok but your not the de facto representative of Clinton supporters. And the argument of which supporters extends outside this forum. And to say that Sanders supporters are somehow in a different class of vitriol is just wrong. It's wrong and there's no arguing around it.

Ok hold it.

I never said anything about Sanders supporters in general.

I'm talking about a subsection of them, those that are delusional enough to disrupt rallies, attack Hillary over Trump, and employ violence during the political process. The Bernie bros as you put it.

I'm fairly certain the average Bernie supporter is a regular joe. If I had lived through different contexts, I'd probably be on Bernie's side too.

Ibtimes, The Intercept, and Huffington Post are now random articles? :rip: Do you think her supporters of 8 years ago somehow completely died out and the current ones are just a fresh new batch somehow utilizing the same dirty tactics? and once again you're just ignoring what people are trying to pass off with that statistic. If there's no malicious intent in trying to continuously connect him to a mostly white vote bloc, then why even bring it up? You're being unbearably facetious if you're just going to pretend that it's not deliberate and for a reason. And why do you keep bringing up PUMA's? This is about how the Bernie Bro is just a cheap knock off of an already failed Obama Boy tactic. I'm still waiting on those smearful Clinton articles by the way.
