And stop. Please. It's cringey throwing about heavy terms like 'critically acclaimed' and 'album of the decade' when a) the decade isn't even over yet and b) there are more genres than pop. 

Your statement is your opinion and nothing more. Just because other people disagree and provide facts to show why they disagree, doesn't mean you're entirely wrong. But concede that you're certainly not entirely right either, otherwise your opinion appears sensationalist and the reputation of your word is damaged, all because of being defensive over one of pop's most basic singers.

1)Nothing in music can be "right" or "wrong".Because music is pretty subjective.So yeah it's obvious that it's my opinion

2)Stop using the word basic when it's not needed  Her music is not "basic" just because it's pop

I already made a long and detailed point backed up with facts about how pop is not basic. So no, I'm not calling Carly basic based on her genre! It's based on her formulaic songs and the marketing routine. So I think it's you who really needs to read what I say properly. 

Also, I'm aware of what you said. I'm simply saying that it isn't one of the best pop albums of six whole years. That's such a riduculous statement. So yes, it is your opinion and nothing more.

Umm and how exactly is her music formulatic? You can literally say this for every pop song.Because pop is meant to be simple and understandable. I just listened to the song that you mentioned on the post above and it's way more "formulatic" and repetitive than Carly's album in both lyrics,production and melody.So I don't really get your point AT ALL.

If you listened to the song she sampled 'give me a man after midnight' you'd realize why. The songs are sonically different enough, not just a straight rip off. 

Also the lyrical content is an extension from the ABBA record to Madonna's Confessions. Xx

This is not actually true at all  Her label had planned to release it ON TIME in Japan, its the rest of the world who got it late. The album did not leak. A Japanese fan bought it in a major record store and was tricked into sharing it by some members on ATRL. There was even a Carly Rae Jepsen stand with Tug of War, Kiss and EMOTION all on it  Typically, albums release a day earlier than their official release; if you check the Oricon record charts, many albums begin "selling" a day before their official release depending on how many stores will sell it early and if they have been specifically told not to do so. Often the "first day sales" of an album or single are split because of this massive effect. It can be a 50-50, or a 10-90, or 90-10, which can inflate or deflate the initial opinions about its chart success   Just some fun facts!

Also, only All That, I Really like you, Run Away With Me and the week of its release or so, Your Type were available b4 the album came out. *edit* EMOTION was also streamed and shared for a while before being officially released on her YouTube channel. There are plenty of reasons this album was not a commercial success, but this one isn't one of them.

The justifications in the rest of your post are also all based off of misconceptions of Carly Rae and her personal relationships with the lyrics and the producers she worked with, her manager, the actual process of making this record, and her label's investment in her But you do you boo, It's personally the best "pop" album for me this decade and I'm sorry you don't appreciate it

Analog sounds are what Ronson is known in the industry for. He produced on X's Back to Basics, Adele's 19, and Amy Winehouse's Back to Black. He's mainly known for his soulful productions, but he's an established, talented producer who could adapt his talents to whatever GaGa wants from him.
