PopThatArt 2,193
Monsters seems to be overly dramatic about Mark saying what they're working on is analog. That analog means there won't be dance, but you have to remember in the 70s, even the 80s and 90s, dance was not created using synths and other electronic equipment. Disco for example featured: electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums, drum machines, percussion, string section, horn section, and orchestral instruments. As did funk and other genres. And disco is totally dance. Look up disco from the 70s. It's not synthetic, it's analog and instruments played by man. Go see A Star is Born
Katsuki Bakugo 9,788
It means she isn't making EDM and current derivation of Pop music. She will be making something that is completely different from what we have heard from her. If All You Ever Do Is Look Down On People, You Won't Be Able To Recognize Your Own Weaknesses. Joemayzin 4,021
Don't get me wrong but I love beautiful, explicit, energetic and inspiring Gaga lyrics over some hard filthy beats but I'm excited to hear what sound she has for the new era! I wouldn't mind if her new songs had this kind of style to it!!

ARTGOD 3,266
I don't care about the specifics (if it's gonna be disco, rock, soul) I just want it to not be electronic and that it feels organic, just like the videos you posted. I hate that when we mention the idea that LG5 will not be like the pop she's made before (dance pop, synth pop) or EDM, some people immediately imagine a boring album full of ballads like TIHTY, it doesn't have to be and it probably won't be, it will probably still be pop in its core, and even if it wasn't I'd say bring it on. But if you think the album is going to be the same type of pop music she's made before prepare yourself to be very disappointed cause Gags ain't going in that direction this time

RadioIsOurs 13,876
At least have some synths and drum machines in it? I mean even her cover of I Want Your Love has synths, which actually made it sound better and more hard-hitting than the original.

I Want Your Love has that analog sound, even though it is electronic, and that's what I assumed mark meant by analog. I feel like people are afraid it's gonna sound like an acoustic band or something cause of what he said. I think it's definitely gonna be more like I Want Your Love if not even more electronic than that, just because I don't think it would be wise of Gaga to do an insanely acoustic and natural sounding album: 1 from what I've observed in pop music right now, electronic stuff really is what gets played and listened to and 2 she seems in the past to have really loved electronic music, so even if she's going for more acoustic or instrumental sounding music, it's still going to be electronically infused. This is just my take on it and really all we know about this album is from what Mark and a couple others have said, so who knows how much of the album she has worked on WITHOUT him. Lord Temptation 11,209
After the collapse of disco in the early 1980s the sound of synth split and diffused into new genres: boogie (synth x r&b) , Italodisco (synth x Europop), new wave (synth x punk), house (synth x Chicago disco), techno (synth x industrial rock) and new romantic (synth x power pop). Is Gaga learning guitar so she can deliver us an intimate, sexy performance like this one from 1981, by the underrated George Benson, where she can declare "Love me now or love me never"
