but we knew that she's going for a more mature album, I wasn't expecting a The Fame 2.0. Didn't y'all heard the London studio session with Mark that leaked? 🤔

One song is not representative of the entire album. It's like if The Fame was LG5 and we heard her recording Brown Eyes.

Literature album coming up :poot:

Analog is what existed before digital technology. He means from a musical standpoint it will be less synthetic and electronic.

And is this a new interview? I feel he said the exact same thing word for word in a previous interview about Gaga - calling her a muso, saying he likes seeing her bark orders at the drummer, etc. I may be mistaken, but I'm sure I read this months ago.

this fanbase can finally get rid of these whiny gay bottoms and move on to a more mature demographic

OMG I truly hope this happens. I'm so freaking sick of the whiny gays this fanbase has acquired since BTW. Such a shame Gaga has matured yet her fanbase has continued to devolve into what can only be described as a cesspool of immature middle school children. Praying to Gaga that LG5 finally purges these people :sis:

Analog means its probably not gonna conform to modern production techniques. Lots of real instruments, retro influences etc. This is giving me Daft Punk's Random Access Memories teas. My body is so ready :lana:

One of the few only logical comments in here. Everyone else is acting like do-do birds and complaining without really truly thinking about what he meant. Here's a like, you deserve it. :sis:

Gonna miss the complete insanity that she gave us with ARTPOP, but I'm ready to hear this new direction she is moving!

Why is everyone so butthurt over the word "analog"? I for one would be happy to see Gaga get away from the electronic synth sound that she's been doing for past 8 years and go back to natural instruments such as guitars, drums, string instruments, stuff like that. A few artists having been moving in this direction, going back to the old school way of making music, and not relying so heavily on electronica and synths, computer generated music. They are going back to orchestra inclusion in the music, getting bands to come in with guitars, drums, human played instruments. And a less reliance on electronically generated basslines.

Analog could also refer to the music being more analogical, like an analogy. Transferring information or meaning from a particular subject (the analogue or source) to another target idea.

And when it comes to Dope, I find Gaga wanted it more stripped down, just the piano, but Rick Rubin did what he did with songs on Adele's 21 album that caused Adele to scrap a lot of the mixes Rick did for that album. He made it over processed and forced but Adele wanted a more raw sound to the music, less forced. And then there was that terrible electronic synth element added to Dope that I feel kind of sidelined the mood Gaga was going for with the song.
