And is this a new interview? I feel he said the exact same thing word for word in a previous interview about Gaga - calling her a muso, saying he likes seeing her bark orders at the drummer, etc. I may be mistaken, but I'm sure I read this months ago.

I think that was Nile Rogers interview

what did he say at 11min40???

Rose asked "Whats her next album" and MR sidestepped and just said "Well, that's what we're working on now"... and finished with the quote I put in the OP.

This makes me so excited, even if it's not more 'authentic' instrumental pop, and something not pop at all, it sounds like it'll be amazing. As long as there are songs on there that are good enough to gain exposure, it'll be fine no matter what I think.

That being said, I hope the authenticity and 'analog' doesn't make it boring. I'd be upset if she tries to prove her self by having songs with really simple instrumentation with just poetry on top because that's nice, but for a full Gaga album, I think it would be too boring. Before people jump on me, I like music with real instruments, but for example, Various Storms and Saints on How Big is a lovely song but if florence delivered an album full of that kind of music, it would be boring in my opinion.

Controversial thought but if the album really is a down tempo, ballad-ish based album, it's not really going to do well on the charts. That kind of music is not in style and I'd honestly think that she's trying to chase the success of Adele. It's not going to work because Gaga is still seen as a polarizing figure overall.

Furthermore, a sudden shift into down tempo music isn't going to be cute. I don't even know why she'd call us monsters this era since it's clear she wants to go into a territory or normalcy (form what we've seen). A pity.

But of course I'm probably 99.9999% wrong :laughga: It'll probably still be rock, pop, funk, disco songs but with a more authentic sound. You forget DJWS is still working on the album (from what we've seen). Plus, the original disco, funk, rock albums were recorded in an analog style.

The only thing I hope for is that her tours are not "stripped down" because that is the one thing I would be upset about. People do not go to Gaga concerts just expecting her to sit on a chair and sing all not. That's not the Gaga the GP (who buys 70% of her concert tickets) are used to when seeing live, and while her piano performances are beautiful, ballads lose meaning when they're constantly being played. Plus tour outfit wise, everyone (us and the GP) love crazy Gaga. When she wore that outfit at the MET Gala, majority of fans and casual fans were excited. I mean, I know I was.

I'm writing an essay at this point lol sorry for the rant. Either way I'm buying LG5 lol.

First of all,  I don't think this guy has info about every song in this album.

actually, i don't care about genre of the album, only not jazz.

for me main question is that, if  this album will be worth to wait that long? i mean, will it be as good as it must be after working so long? in my opinion, it will be shame for her to release a bad album Especially after ARTPOP,

only you will be able to answer that question for yourself.  She could release a piano based album full of brilliant songwriting and musicianship that gets a metacritic score of 95, and some would say it 's a bad album because it doesn't "bop" or have the sales numbers of 1989.
