I think we might be reading too much into it. I think there might be a mixture of pop and rock, punk, funk, disco stuff like that but she will release more ballads as singles and stuff like showcasing her stripped down vulnerability as an artist. It's gonna be something we've truly never seen from Gaga and I am SO freaken excited for it I think the GP will love it too!!! ❤️❤️❤️:rockstar:

Well, this can mean many things. I hope it means it's analogue recording, which would be something pretty unnusal for a super massive recording artist to do. I think all this will help for Gaga to feel more authentic and natural. Which is great. And it's a complete departure from ARTPOP, recorded by kids that know not much more than us "amateur producers" at home, using pirated plug-ins with templates not done from scratch. And what was worst was the lack of dynamics in the recording, everyone has that feeling that it sounds all the same because it's so compressed, the sound is always in your face. Now i'm not saying it needs to be analogue to solve this but it should help Gaga connecting to old recordings, all that spiritual nonsense.

There's a misconception going here, you can have samples and be analogue. Mark Ronson always samples from vinyl, it's just recording that sound into the mix.

It's great that there's acoustic insturments, but no one said there won't be synthesisers. You know instead of using a plug-in that emulates the sound of the original, they are using analog synthesisers, most likely. But there must be anelectronic side to this. I'm pretty convinced about that.

Exactly! LIGHTS' album "Siberia" uses a lot of electronic analogue sounds and it's gritty and beautiful. Excited by this description

Good point made

That setting at 3:20 sounds very much like the synth in Born This Way.

Somebody post this in the OP.

You gave me faith

Oh, no at this prediction.

Gaga will make an album that will be mostly present of acoustic songs, similar to 21. It will be critically acclaimed and have a #1 single, but will not be successful again. A new Jazz era will come shortly after.

:ohno:

"it will not be successful AGAIN", that "again" is the key word in that (stupid imho) prediction. They meant she won't see the "The Fame/Monster" but even the" BTW" numbers and I think we all know that too.

But a critically acclaimed album with a #1 single IS successful. Otherwise they would have said "but it'll not be successful", the again referes to the first albums' numbers.

I don't think what MR said mean it will be no pop, or dance music. What's the point of Gaga doing an acoustic album ballads? what's the surprise? The GP already saw that with C2C.

The surprise, or the twist would be in Gaga making an album full of honest and purely pop songs, produced with minimal electronics. This would be trully unexpected.

Hope this is what she does. And with some disco elements. Disco suits her really well.

I know that. LOL. What are you trying to do?

Mister Gaga

Mark Ronson literally just said "you've all heard the big pop songs and now its time for something different." Forget about pop music, TFM/ARTPOP style. I'm expecting something like Alicia Keys or Adele's 25 (WUTB type of songs).

but we knew that she's going for a more mature album, I wasn't expecting a The Fame 2.0. Didn't y'all heard the London studio session with Mark that leaked? 🤔

Shaney

This is good. I just really hope she doesn't go back to the retro sound on The Fame... There's something about The Fame that i'm just not into.
