Exactly I'm not a ballad/mid tempos/slow songs type of person but there are some exceptions, unfortunately Dope isn't of them, I really can't get into it, maybe it's because it's too depressive & sad.

people on here who assume that the fans who dont like Dope must be vapid & less capable of appreciating "deep" music are so stupid. some of us just dont like it. i don't like the vocals bc they cheapen it completely. it sounds so forced & like she's trying her hardest to sound like a beaten down druggie. the lyrics are average at least, part ripped off Bell Bottom Blues. i think it's probably one of her least honest songs.

I love it though. My favorite thing about Gaga's voice is that she can dip into the lower ranges and singing this particular song with a drunken slur is just perfect imo

That would've been great too. It's not exactly the same as what you're saying, but when I play and sing the song I change around the ending. After the second chorus, I play the little intro/bridge bit to IWBWY and sing a slightly different version of the chorus that draws from a few different performances of the song.

This is exactly what I feel towards it.

Personal on a far more specific level than anything Born This Way gave us Dope isn't a blanket statement, it's a well aimed sniper shot right through the heart.

It's why the second verse will live on my arm forever
