Our star has 8 planets and 5 dwarf planets, making the total 13. if every star in our galaxy had at least 1 planet (which most probably have more than one) that would make at least 10,000,000,000 - 100,000,000,000 planets in our OWN Galaxy. Then it gets more crazy... There are approximately 10 billion to 100 billion galaxies in our observable universe, most of which being larger than ours, which can hold hundreds of billions of stars. So, if we times the amount of galaxies by the amount of stars in each Galaxy.... Well, that gives us an inconceivable about of planets. And even if 0.0001 percent of them had life... This technology will take about 20 years to develop and another 20 years to for the camera to reach the Andromeda galaxy.
