Trump, Clinton tied in 3 swing-state polls

Buckle up for the next six months: Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are effectively tied in the swing states of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to the results of a Quinnipiac University survey released Tuesday.

Split along lines of gender, race and age, the presumptive Republican nominee and the likely Democratic nominee appear poised for tight battles in those states, though Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders performs better against Trump than Clinton does and is also seen more favorably by voters in all three states.

In Florida, Clinton leads Trump, 43 percent to 42 percent, while Sanders earned 44 percent to Trump's 42 percent.

In Ohio, registered voters preferred Trump to Clinton, 43 percent to 39 percent, while Sanders edged Trump 43 percent to 41 percent.

In Pennsylvania, Clinton leads 43 percent to 42 percent.

When it comes to being honest and trustworthy, neither Trump nor Clinton performed particularly well, though the Manhattan real-estate mogul outperformed the former secretary of state by 9, 8 and 9 points in Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, respectively.

Both did better on the issue of being a strong leader. Here, too, Trump outperformed Clinton. Where Clinton has a net positive rating of 8 points on the leadership issue in Florida, Trump has a net positive rating of 23 points.

Yeah probably widening his lead, he just started campaigning against her and the tide is already moving in his favor. Meanwhile, Clinton has led her campaign chanting that she is the one to beat Trump, and almost all of her ads are run against him. 

Once the Trumo campaign actually starts running ads against her, we're going to see his margins increase over her.

Hillary is a really bad campaigner. Trump is going to call her crooked for the next six months, and because people already trust her less than they do him it's going to be hard for her to defend.

Independents don't lean towards Trump in any significant manner, and the election is 6 months away. Trump has plenty of time to alienate more people, given that he's scoring incredibly bad with women and minorities.

So no, Trump is not going to win. Polls like these are stupid, not to mention they are railing off the primaries where people still have the competitive adrenaline running through them. 

Many people who say they want to vote for Trump are berned Independents or Democrats still licking their wounds about Bernie. Similar polls showed many supporters would refuse to support the other nominee. 

Oh and guess what, that race was not only more competitive, it didn't include the self-destructive Trump. What ended up happening was that only 10% ended up voting for the other side,

And people in this thread should stop using this as a way to justify Bernie.

He is done and over, so get over it already.

Not to mention that nobody even knows what or who Bernie is compared to Hillary thanks to him being an irrelevant for so long, so opinions about him are bound to change from a perfect savior to just another manipulative, pandering, egotistical politician like the rest of them.

Trump ALWAYS wins. His previous targets, Jeb, Marco, and Ted, are all laying strewn across the pavement. Hillary is next.

Pretty sure those people shot themselves in the foot. Trump just had to watch as the theological right self-destructed under the weight of their own bass-ackwardness.

You're so confident when all he's had to face so far are even dumber than he is between robot Rubio, Dr. Stabby, and Inquisitor Ted. Trump will soon be facing off against an actually serious contender in Hillary as opposed to the noobs he's been up against. He looked better than most of those stooges. Many people may distrust Hillary but at least she isn't a sensationalist immature simpleton who whines at the slightest offense or criticism directed towards her.

He's already alienated MOST women, almost ALL minorities, and is only going to piss off more people as time goes on.

Her trust ratings are worse than his. She is going to be interviewed by the FBI next week. She's barely even convinced her own party to nominate her, despite being the "most qualified candidate" to ever run. People are being very naive if they think Hillary just has to turn up to win. Trump dominates news cycles and destroys his opponents. Since the day he announced people have been saying "He's just too unpopular to get elected", and yet he keeps winning and is tied in the swing states.
