When a large portion of the GP is subjected to success like this it is inescapable. Rihanna doesn't want to be a role modle? Oh poor her. Then maybe her label should rethink such formulaic bubblegum repetitive music. You think her label didn't know kids would like it? Just like how they like Hotline Bling? Please. Kids are twerking and copying their every move. 

What you need to get through your head, the pair of you childish people, is that this is a broad sociological opinion common to the dialogue between scholars and social workers globally. Fundamentally it is a critique of Rihanna's label and by extention the music industry. Have I criticised Rihanna? Of course I have. I have had good reason to and funnily enough, I have a right to. 

Stop trying to prove something to people here. You're not funny, you're not even on the right train of thought. You're both trying senslessly to argue against something you clearly don't understand. 

I am not 'getting defensive' to put it in your patronising way. I am simply refusing to give into your harassment and let you both bully your way into trying to get me to hold the same view as you. Something tells me you aren't used to that and so childishly and pathetically tell people "you're getting defensive" to belittle them even further because you don't have an intelligent or informed argument.

Funnily enough this is a site where people criticise music. I have criticised work and have a complete right to do so. I have stated what I think of it in terms of artistry and given sociological and societal-based theories as to why it's so popular and so simply ask is its 'success' a good or bad thing in terms of the health of pop culture.  

My little sister just turned ten, so I won't apologise for not wishing her to hear the lyrics of that song and copy the moves of the music video in the playground. 

Its a legitimate question. One which in a hundred years society will know the answer to. But no, this generation doesn't care. Because we won't be here in a hundred years. We live life and experience pop culture with reckless abandon. 

You among others have been sly on tjos website, demeaning and patronising, deceptively belittling every opinion I state. And then you have the audacity to call me a liar? Throw about words which you don't seem to know the meaning to? 

And then you oh so innocently wonder why I got frustrated and called you stupid?
