They just never released in HD because YouTube and VEVO didn't have widescreen features back then. I know this because I have seen several snippets of the HD videos on TV shows (and they are in widescreen) and when I view them on my big television, they have perfect quality. They do exist. I mean even my crappy Sony that I got in the Poker Face era shoots in HD. You are saying that they used something less than a hand held camera to shoot all those music videos? Someone mentioned before that BR was shot in HD but was processed with all the effects in SD.
