People might not resonate with the song or like it enough  That's reason enough really, loads of great songs (in our opinions) can flop because a much larger number of people don't feel the same way :laughga:

At the moment I'm not concerned about hits. It's been a long time waiting and I just want it to end :/

I just want good music, rather the stupid random people like it or not :koons:

agreed, I'd rather have born this way quality album and have it flop hard than have teenage dream 1989 success but really crappy songs that wear out after 5 listens. But I guess that won't happen, I bop to anything gaga makes for years. But chart success would be icing on cake tho :lana:

The GP owes nothing to Gaga. She may be talented but she is not entitled to a #1. A common comment I see from the GP is that they know she can sing BUT her music "sucks" for them.

It all boils down to Gaga and her musical and creative choice for the lead.

this only matters if you think charts accurately reflect what are "good" and "bad" songs.

She doesn't need any excuses.  There are other factors besides the quality of the music.  If the critics and radio are against her and won't acclaim or play her music, that would impact the public's opinion of the song.  I think the industry has been coming around to supporting Gaga again, so all is good.

I live outside the space time continuum.
