Albertas economy has taken a real beating since oil crash and companies have fired many workers for cost cutting and unemployment is high in that sector right now

im sure they will find workers

but if city is destroyed, fewer can comute. They will have to fly in a greater percentage of workers which will raise costs

Yeah, the real question is when they can start operations again. The loonie fell right away again the day the fires went crazy. I don't know if that's how it works but no matter, it is alarming.

You are small men. You are not worthy to rule the Dothraki.

The loonie fell because energy shares have fallen and investors expect terrible trade numbers for May (given our biggest export just got cut in half). We could have an all time high trade deficit for may.

Also they now expect 0% growth for Q2 of 2016 instead of 1.5% because of lost GDP from reduced oil output. Should fire persist, it could even be negative.

I hope they find ways around inconviniences. That small city was the centre of Canadas inflow of big $$$$$$$$$$$$

Hard to believe a small city coukd be so important. Its even making global headlines and affecting global price of oil.
