crisTEAne 21,059
i think the titles are on point, they all refer to a chapter in her life: (1) TF: her dream (2) TFM: fearing from her dream (3) BTW: protecting her identity from that dream (4) AP: celebrating her identity within that dream(5) LG5: using her identity to expand that dream? if you hurt taylor swift, i'll hurt you back

I think most people would agree that ARTPOP is not a good name, but the title track is among the best songs on the album. Without that messy name we wouldn't have that great song

Or which one is the most appealing in general? Which one was the best choice? Is there an album where there is another song that would have been a 900% better album name? 900% out of how much exactly?

Born This Way is certainly representative of the whole album; the album is about identity, being who you are, embracing the way you were born, not being sorry for who you are, every song captures that sentiment of identity in some way or another, it is the most fitting title. Marry the Night - her dreams, ambitions and how she wants to be Born this Way - being proud of your identity Judas - how no matter how she knows she should be with the good guy (Jesus) she will always come back to the bad guy (Judas) because of who she is Americano - her own way of life, own rules, gender norm, living on the edge of the law, etc. Hair - BTW 2.0 message-wise Scheibe - being empowered as a woman (also part of your identity) Bad Kids - again with being accepted despite your flaws Highway Unicorn - about being strong and believing in yourself You and I - how she considers her loved one part of her being That's more than half. BTW is arguably her most cohesive album. Flyin' like a 1000 Doves
