Lets leave it as personal taste some like it some don't and lets not get into the old tired ugly debate of women need to cover up after a certain age - because lets face it, anyone who thinks that is wrong. Maybe your mind would change when you actually turn 50, though. We mature, we don't feel the need to show off every part of ourselves to feel validated. Your views on covering up may well change as you get older. You have to realise that man or woman, going around half naked won't make people respect you. That's not a positive thing. Sometimes, a body is just a body, but in certain instances, you have to keep your private parts private and this is one of those times. To say "anyone who thinks that is wrong" is ironically, a very close minded view held by people who claim to be open minded. So open minded that you shut down anyone who thinks differently to you. Only open minded when it's views you agree with. That's not being open minded, that's just supporting an idea you like.

I am really not getting into this and I respect your views on this, but Its not even about getting respect from people, its about respecting people's choices to wear what they want- but the fact of the matter is asking women to cover up because you are uncomfortable with it is wrong thinking. If All You Ever Do Is Look Down On People, You Won't Be Able To Recognize Your Own Weaknesses. Whether we do it subconsciously or not, we do it. There's a reason why some guys say that they don't go near scantily dressed women in clubs. There's a reason why guys say they'd have a good time with a scantily dressed girl but wouldn't take her home to meet their parents. There's a reason why there's a dress code at certain events and in certain institutions. There's a reason why we wear clothes instead of walking around naked, period. The biggest reason of all is the respect issue. Being partly naked/naked brings to mind ideas of uncivilness, sluttishness, lack of respect for oneself. Which is why these people get laughed at, pointed at, sneered at. Whether you think this is right it or not, society has decided that we should wear clothes and that's just the way it's going to be. Nothing can change it now, we're hardwired into this idea. It would take literally thousands, maybe even millions of years of evolution, to get us out of our current way of thinking. And I doubt the planet will be around long enough to see that day, so why bother? Besides all this, sorry, but I just don't want to see all your stuff hanging out in public. Who wants to see that? You'd put people right off their dinner and offend religious types and raise hygiene issues. Is nothing sacred anymore? Can't private parts remain just that? By the way, I'm not advocating women dressing in nothing but high necks, long sleeves and floor-sweeping hems, just keep their most sexual areas covered. And I already said I'm against men doing this too. If a man walked on in nothing but a thong, I'd give him the exact same derision. But you don't see me doing that because almost all men don't choose to put forward this image of themselves. A lot of women do, on the other hand, so you'll see me criticise them more. And I think it really brings women down and raises young girls on bad ideas when being scantily clad is seen as normal for women and that you're considered weird if you don't want to do this, that you don't have confidence, that you're ashamed of yourself. It's no wonder women still can't achieve equality. And it's hardly feminism when you're wearing something that looks as if it was specifically designed to let married men's eyes wander while their wives look on disapprovingly. I am not disagreeing with anything you saying here tbh. I don't think people should be parading around in basically  their underwear for the world to see, but if they wish to do it well whatever its my choice to be fully clothed and it was "yours" to not do it. I will respect your wishes, doesn't mean I agree. I don't think we will revert to fully clothing ourselves, however I do find something alluring about a head covering and only the eyes being displayed in the sense of the eyes are a very intimate way of expressing things. I agree with your statements, alot I do think I misunderstood your stance and you explained it well enough here that I think we are on the same page, apologies if I seemed to be attacking it wasn't my intention, just misunderstanding your stance on this. On men- the only men I see half naked are in summer and usually wearing singlets and shorts are the extreamly buff ones- society has gotten to the point of if you reach that certain image you can "do" what you "want" when it comes to clothing because you are displaying your goals. I find covering up a bit more alluring etc in the sense of they are displaying some skin but concious enough to keep their genitalia and everything else a secret because they respect other people. I have issue with calling genitalia private parts but I won't go into that. If All You Ever Do Is Look Down On People, You Won't Be Able To Recognize Your Own Weaknesses. I only used the reference "private parts," because it seemed understandable, given the circumstances - private parts should remain private. But yeah, mostly I'd say genitalia myself. I'm going to express some more of my views about this matter on the topic devoted to it very soon. You can get an even deeper perspective there.
