I feel so bad for Selena. All the girls that wore Louis Vuitton didn't have custom dresses except Taylor. Their outfits were just directly taken from the runway to the red carpet.

I'll start off by saying that this is the first time I've ever ranked Met Gala fashion. I wish I'd done it earlier - it's fun!

The theme this year was futuristic/technology. So, my choices are based on a bad outfit but and also not following the theme well enough (or at all). Man, were there a lot who missed the memo this year or didn't even care!

First off, some honorable mentions that just missed out on a place by a whisker: Zoe Kravitz (like something at the Mean Girls Halloween bash), Demi Lovato (not futuristic enough) and Jemima Kirke (boring dress and hideous make up), Julie Macklowe (good at working the theme but terrible ill-fitting).

So, the top ten, from least bad to worst...

10. Nicki Minaj

Cheap, cheap, cheap. And buckles alone doth not futuristic make. But at least she was trying to fit the theme, although failing, so I put her at the bottom.

9. Beyonce

Horrible material that looks like human skin, as visually explained with memes. I also don't want to think about what her skin will look like when that latex comes off (she must be sweating up a storm under that). Her make up is also making her look frightful and her hair is tragic. I don't understand how it's futuristic either.

8. Sarah Jessica Parker

Pirate? Victoriana? I don't know what she was going for. Random ensemble, not futuristic at all, the exact opposite, considering the nods to all things retro! And who in the name of all that is holy did that make up? I'll be seeing those eyes in my nightmares!

7. Selena Gomez

It's meant to be futuristic, not off-duty goth who's run out of black make up! I don't get it - she's young and trendy, she should be wanting embrace a futuristic theme, so why did she not seem to understand the requirements?

6. Grimes

Hipster and futuristic are not the same things! Such cheap looking material and clearly thought she was giving off an "I'm so cool, I don't even have to try" vibe. No, you just didn't try.

5. Irina Shayk

Futuristic = patriotic now? Awful, unflattering dress, pointlessly see-through, nothing to do with the theme.

4. Charlotte Casiraghi

What is futuristic about this in any way, shape or form? How could a royal dress like this? What...why...who...I can't even speak about this one.

3. Solange Knowles

Looking like a radioactive crinkle-cut crisp, this one had me coughing with laughter. The only reason she's lower is because she at least understood the theme of futuristic, although it was certainly a version that is certainly very ahead of its time, and you can't get more futuristic than that!

2. Madonna

Not futuristic, just trashy as hell. On anyone, this is unacceptable. On a woman of this age, this is downright offensive and sad. You can be a woman in her 50's and still look gorgeous and sexy, just ask Julianne Moore or Nigella Lawson. They can get away with it because they cover up and leave something to the imagination which is a great philosophy at any age, even better at a more advanced age. Madonna, please grow old gracefully, not disgracefully.

1. Dakota Johnson

THERE ARE NO WORDS. I don't understand why this isn't at the top of every worst dressed list and why no one is talking about it. This is kinda like Charlotte's outfit but 10x worse. Clearly, working on 50 Shades Of Grey was so mind-numbing that it has warped Dakota's brain.

F*ck standards, who are you or anyone else to decide what "ageing gracefully" is? You act as if you're looking at a wrinkly old lady who decided to let out a boob at a wedding. It's Madonna, who looks decades younger than her actual age and besides who cares if it was a wrinkly tit or asscheek? Are people over 40 just supposed to die? Madonna is not stupid, she knows people hate her for this kind of stuff, that's exactly why she does it. And her outfit does go with the theme because (besides the lace) it is made entirely out of KT Kinesology tape. It's a tape that is used for sports injuries such as runners knee, shin splints, hamstring strain, back pain and it has healing powers. It's deloveped using intricate technology. You can read more on http://www.kttape.com. So her dress has actual healing powers... I don't think it gets more recent technology than that. You can see the "KT" logo on the straps on her legs.

But seriously, f*ck the "graceful" ageist standard that's set for women. Julianne Moore is an actress who's never worn anything that grabbed major headlines. She always features on the best dressed lists but that's another thing. You never hear people talk about "what Julianne Moore wore" the day before, yet everyone is discussing what Madonna wears when she shows skin at nearly 60.

It takes balls to do what Madonna does and has always done. She has always pushed limits and why should she stop just because she's getting older? I hope she steps out with just two posts stamps on her breasts and kitty if she's going again next year. F*ck the haters. 

It's Madonna and she doesn't give two sh*ts about "ageing gracefully". All of the older celebrity women are doing that. It'd be a very boring world if everyone looks the same so instead of criticizing someone for being almost 60 and wearing provocative outfits, let's praise her. Because you are on a Lady Gaga fan site, who's main message is to love your unique, individual self. So why should Madonna stop being who she's always been because you, some power bottoms on here and "the mainstream media and public" believe that a 55+ year old woman should stop showing off her sexuality? Not very Born This Way of ya.

And I am 90% sure Gaga is also never going to stop being Gaga, even if she's 50. It's Gaga, it's always been Gaga and it'll always BE Gaga. Just like Madonna has always been like this and will hopefully be BURIED in a cut-out Givenchy dress.

Calm down. Even when I try to be positive and open minded, people still jump on me. I just said it was possible for a woman of an advanced age to be attractive and sexy, if she just does it in a certain way. That doesn't translate as "cover up and show nothing." Sensuality is far more alluring on all women but especially on older women. You need to realise that myself and plenty of others, look at people of Madonna's age and think of their mothers, who are of similar age. We think about how much we love and respect them and think how they would look cheap in such an outfit and how it would make other people think bad of them. Madonna is a mother and should think about how her kids are affected by seeing her dressed like this. I find it really disturbing when older women are overtly sexual because after a certain time, it becomes really exploitative and nothing but shock value, designed to turn on people with weird sexual tastes.

For the record, I wouldn't agree if men dressed like this either. But men don't dress like this precisely because that's not how men gain power - they gain it from keeping their clothes on. Therefore, if women want power, we must do the same. Because people who wear clothes garner respect, it's just how civilisation has evolved. With clothes and smart clothes at that, you're treated better. But for some reason, women have torn up the rule book for the last few decades and are under the weird delusion that wearing next to nothing gives you power. No, the more un-clothed you are, the more vulnerable you are, so it doesn't make sense! You have to ask yourself, why do mean consider being practically naked in public to be demeaning and degrading, but a lot of women think it equals power? What's with the radically different ideas? When you consider that men hold the most power, perhaps their way of thinking is the way women should go if they want power?

I kinda like Katy's dress, but the rest of her look doesn't mesh well with it, nor does it really fit the theme. I hope she never bleaches her brows again.

If I was a 50 year old woman and had her body I would want to show it off. Lets leave it as personal taste some like it some don't and lets not get into the old tired ugly debate of women need to cover up after a certain age - because lets face it, anyone who thinks that is wrong.
