(PRISM era - 5 videos + lyrics videos, AP - 2 videos). When you chart well, you are wanted. You are on the cover of magazines, on Tv often, there are interviews all the time and you actually get to hear the song that you lke on the radio and your non-pop music obsessed friends can share in your appreciation of an artist. Everybody wants to see Gaga do lots of promo performances and give interesting interviews. The fact is, you have to chart well to be able to do that. And that is why charts do matter. I don't mean it for the next Era, but for ARTPOP. For example, Mariah had low debuts too during the Charmbracelet Era, but guess what? Her next Album 'The Emancipation of Mimi' was one of the best selling albums in it's release year and gave her #1 hits. Just because ARTPOP didn't do as well, it doesn't mean it's bad.
