paul 687
Just now, Seeka said: I Wanna be With You, Brooklyn Nights, Posh Life (originally written for TLC, but was said to be removed to be added to ARTPOP), all sound like they belong on BTW and not ARTPOP. Though Brooklyn Nights was originally written for BTW. I don't really hear that any of those belong on BTW. perhaps Brooklyn Nights at a push regardless, the thread's about whether LG5 should be political, and none of those are political in the slightest

But you are rather correct. but I think a political album would be rather awful at this time, considering how many people consider ARTPOP an epic failure and how she needs to succeed. Exploiting the current political race would be seen as a popularity grab, especially since how the political race is standing very well on its own. Iwontell 7,312
Nope...being so open about political stuff and talking about gay rights and pot, for example, as openly as she used to hurt her career A LOT...she should focus only on solidifying her career and re-establishing herself as a big star, cuz she fkn deserves to be seen in that light. I know nowadays being #political is very profitable (), but it wouldn't work for Gags, just saying... ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.
PopThatArt 2,193
Maybe one or two about transgendered issues such as the bathroom bill but not too much in your face stuff. Another one of those songs about identity along the lines of Hair but more rock n roll and reflecting that dilemma about the bathroom bill and having to use the bathroom in accordance to your birth certificate sex listed not what you identify with currently, it might seem like a silly topic, but it is a real issue. And of course I must comment on this, I think Beyonce is capitalizing on what's been going on with black people in America lately, she saw an opening to use to her advantage, went more politically charged themes and people are buying into, not seeing she's using it to sell. It's very conniving. Sorry if you're offended by that, but it's just my view point on the subject. Since Beyonce went all political with her album and there have been those politically tinged albums lately, I think it could be a dangerous slope for Lady Gaga to do right now, she should stick more to things about living in the moment, maybe war and peace, love, etc. Go see A Star is Born
Math 92
God, no. she can be political without literally reflecting it on her music. she doesn't need that at this point whatsoever.
