ForgotMyLunch 328
It's meh. The chorus needed more energy. The "you" gets annoying as well. Still enjoy it somewhat, would probably sound better if music was like 2012 right now.
Klou 2,414
I love that he's going the house route! My favorite genre. It's great!

Yes, it's not deep house, but pure house.

Ok then the mainstream version of deep house, Disclosure, Lost Frequencies, Duke Dumont, Gorgon City etc. What I mean is that this isn't a fresh sound in particular. Still catchy though

StrawberryBlond 14,904
Yet another boring, repetative, generic beat with someone who's desperate for a hit. I wouldn't expect any less from Calvin. Dance music's supposed to be exciting - I can't get into this "chill out" dance (chill out should be a byword for boring in music) with no bass drops and you can't dance to it. Even David Guetta's experimenting more now! All the advances in EDM recently and this is what he goes with? He's so redundant. And why does he keep working with Rihanna? That girl has more than enough hits, some undeserved! She has Calvin to thank from stopping her Talk That Talk album from being a complete flop (We Found Love and Where Have You Been were her only hits and they were solely written and produced by him) and she's still trailing after him, looking for success because she knows it's starting to fade out now and its been a while since she had a #1 in the UK. But, oh, well, at least it technically won't be hers because he's the main artist and she's a feature. But still, it annoys me how people who have no trouble getting hits end up collabing with generic producers to guarantee a successful hit. What about giving the opportunity to someone who actually needs and deserves it? As I keep on saying, why did the most successful DJ from my country have to be this guy? His music is loved by the worst kind of people in Scotland - neds. 2011-2012 was a terrible time when it was them dictating who was #1.

Calvin asked Rihanna to jump on the song even though she refused all of his songs that were produced for ANTi. Get your facts straight. How is she fading when Work was #1 for 9 weeks with only 1 live performance, Needed Me is climbing up the US ITunes Charts with no promo and ANTi went number 1 even though she gave a million copies for free. Seethe hater SEETHE Finally feeling free for the night, I got no worries. Finally got a claim on my life, baby, c'est la vie. ☄️

Seethe hater SEETHE Maybe she didn't want it on her own album, you know, because it was supposed to be so "anti" commercial, but she was more than happy to work with him on a hit featuring her on his own album, to guarantee she could still have a hit attached to her name even if everything from Anti flopped, which it was doing until Work came along. And I'm talking in the grand scheme of things. Work really hasn't sold that much - it was purely streaming that kept it where it was. If you look at the sales, songs that never went #1 got more than that. And in much of the world, it didn't go to the top, including the UK, which used to always be a major market for her. And yes, she is fading. She can't seem to get more than one hit per album anymore. KIB and NM have both failed because they weren't as commercial and didn't have a rap feature. She only has success when she does what's expected of her and she's not doing that now. Rihanna's slowly fading now, it's clear. She's going to fade even more if she takes more time making this next album too. It's just the music industry is desperate to keep her successful with help from the likes of Calvin. But her luck is almost out. She'll be done by the time she's 30 seeing as her success is completely based around her youth, looks and relevancy to young people.
