Aga Gydal 3,158
The ARTPOP era was a moshpit of too many ideas and too little focus. It showed me that her creative output really suffers when she lacks a certain foundation behind the scenes. She was trying to man her own ship for the first time, and it showed. Really dysfunctional era.

The entire music video is about how Gaga was treated in the industry when she broke her hip, but she never said that. She said it had elements of betrayal. And also art is subjective, so. Need I remind you of Gaga fake playing the guitar in nearly every Venus performance of the era? Besides, the only instrument that really qualified as wrong was the cello and personally I don't even think Gaga knows how you're supposed to play that. Every other instrument was just fine, which is why I can't believe this theory ever took off. As if Gaga would want to mislead the viewer into thinking they're actually playing instruments you can't even hear on the track. It just doesn't matter. Everyone knows they can't play instruments, we don't need Gaga to tell us by "exposing" them like this. Gaga can't play the harp and the cello either (and barely guitar) so why would the statement even be well done if it is in there? As I have stated, Gaga said in an interview that she had them play the instruments incorrectly on purpose. To me, that means there was an intention behind that scene. Never did I say that she was trying to convince the viewer of them being profession instrumentalists... You keep reaching and trying to discredit my opinion with things I never said. I can see where your opinion came from. I have mine and you have yours and that is okay. Done.

I don't believe that, I can't find it anywhere anyway and I remember most clearly I watched every interview that era. That's a fan theory if my memory is correct and if not, then I'm gonna need receipts 4 minutes ago, RileyMint said: You keep reaching and trying to discredit my opinion with things I never said. Why do you have take it so seriously and personally omg We're just debating about the likelihood of the statement you were so adamant about existing a few pages ago. If you don't like that, fine, I'll stop, but I feel like your accusations towards me are just ways to reply to me without offering any good counterarguments But sure, I respect your opinion. But to be fair, I wouldn't have replied to you if you had stated your opinion as an opinion

EDIT: Because I kinda get the impression that his aim for art in a spiritual spirit was sorta similar. He used to say "Jeder Mensch ist ein Künstler" (Every human being is an artist) and he always talked about his views and works in german interviews as if it was some sort of religion or science in a philosophical sense. It reminds me A LOT of Gaga's Culture Show interview or the interview she gave for ProSieben with that "Venus" accent she had back then. I also loved his political activity (he founded the ecological Green Party, although I do believe it was a mistake to do so) and how economically clever he was too, he knew exactly how to "sell" himself and his artwork in a very precisley image - he has lied a lot about his past etc., so he invented a mythology about him which I find fascinating. It's "Business Art" to me - I remember hearing a story once: people have protested against him ahead of a museum, he joined them inkognito but after that he revealed himself and signed their outfits - after that they selled the outfits for millions, so they became instant "fans" of his. That's pretty smart One of my favorites of him is "I like America and America likes Me". Pure genius, and with such a wealth of meanings and implications!
