What I'm trying to say is that the world isn't as simple as you are making it out to be, and it is almost always better to ensure that the environment remains in your favor as you work towards your own goal.

A third party would be great! Maybe you'll be the one to do it. I hope you do! It's just that you need to set aside your ideological puritanism for one second and ensure that someone who best serves YOUR interests and that of SOCIETY's will be in the White House come January, because as of RIGHT NOW there is no way an independent will win. It's either Trump or Hillary.

Do you not care for those who do not share your ideals? What about them? Why are you dismissing their needs so readily? I thought you are for social welfare? Do you not care about those whom Trump has mocked and talked down to himself? Do you not want a liberal leaning Senate?

Im sorry, I don't want to be a part of one of the 2 major parties. I don't wanna be played like a cheap fiddle and see a candidate more to the left and back to the center. I wanna see a third party rise and it won't happen if people don't start being open to the idea and I think a Bernie endorsement would help that canditiate off the ground, so I truly hope he endorses Jill. 

I know she has an almost non existant chance of winning but if she gets 5% of the popular vote, they get federal funding and ****, so that's cool.

Okay, I might support Hillary. I'm gonna have to watch what she says during the general, I hope she doesn't move to far to the middle. 

Its just really depressing that Bernie lost and I'm still coming to terms with it. Before NY I was still with mindset that he could win, so I'm still kinda mourning the loss, while at the same time hoping for a miracle that probably won't come. I've been supporting him since last summer and its left me a little bitter with politics that he's lost but Hillary, realistically speaking, is a good candidate and from what I can tell, she'll represent the left well enough. If she does everything right in the general campaign, she'll likely have my support.

Well ****... I'm glad you've come around. 

I may have lost respect for Bernie due to his recent actions, but I don't fault his supporters such as yourself. He stands for ideals that I stand for too in theory. I would like nothing more than to see his words in action. In fact the main reason I feel so furious with him is that at some level I was always rooting for him. I still will if he wins somehow.

At this point however, we need to stand together to ensure that progress continues. Maybe some day we'll see our dreams come true.

Well, the the nation is moving left. Maybe in the next cycle, we'll be able to get a Bernie type, maybe even Bernie himself (he'll be 82, in 2022).

He's the weird outsider that the establishment has no respect for and constantly condescends, it reminds me of myself and how the school establishment treats me. I've been brought to meetings where they say the way I am is bad for my social health and that I need to conform, the last one I had was last Monday, the day before the NY primary. I always it would be so special if someone like that could win the presidency but it's not gonna happen. And it fueled my anger and I took a lot of it out on Clinton. Bernie's anti-establishmentness resonated a lot with me, so to see the establishment candidate win was emotionally traumatizing. 

In the end, you're right. I can't put my emotionally instability ahead of the needs of the country and while Hillary isn't ideal, she'll do.

That's a small percentage of angry young people mostly, many of them who couldn't even get their **** together to vote in the state primaries. The rest will come around or some will vote for some third party candidate maybe. 

This happens every election cycle. Same thing happened with Hillary and Obama and most people came around.

Did you know that Ralph Nader basically ended up putting Bush in office? Gore would have won, if so many votes wouldn't have gone to Ralph Nader, especially in the state of Florida. Instead of getting Gore in office, a Democrat who cared deeply for the environment, we got Bush....and we all know how that goes. 

Interestingly enough, I saw a quote made about Nader back in 2000 that reminds me of someone running today:

"Main ammo"? What am I her hired spokesperson now? I stand for nobody's opinion but my own and I'll be free to call Sanders for what he is in my own viewpoint. Feel free to tell me how he isn't a piece of ****, a ****tard, and a son of a bitch for his disgusting recent attitude and I'll amend my post. I have personal disgust towards betrayal so this criterion alone renders him null and void to me. This is the **** I see in Lebanese politics. I don't get why I have to maintain a tone of civility at all times, especially when I'm not targeting anyone here, while people continue to ignore any attempt at a rational conversation that I hold. Why should I? I just don't. I really don't. In fact it's getting tiring. This is literally the first time I tilted this hard. Bernie's betrayal actually affected me because at some point I actually rooted for him. It's going to much harder now. He's showing his true colors and all but his most delusional supporters agree with this.

In any case, those are my opinions about Bernie not his supporters. When I call some of his supporters Bernie bots, that's simply because they are people who are so delusional in their beliefs that they are even trying to justify THIS. I'm not generalizing anyone and I'm not pointing fingers. 

So hey...how about you lay off about what I think about Bernie personally, and focus more on the real issue at hand. If you bothered to leaf through the thread, you'd see that I've attempted to hold civil discourse after my rant, even reaching consensus with a hardcore Bernie supporter despite my thinking that Bernie is a piece of ****, a ****tard, and a son of a bitch who's taking advantage of people's justified idealism for his own purposes and nobody else's.

Well, when you're posting something that suggests the party needs to be united coming out of the primaries, attacking the person who represents the people you are trying to unite with isn't the best way to go about it. It just majorly turned me off from any other legitimate point you were trying to make.

Also, I feel like we're reading his words in very different ways. I don't read it as him saying he will absolutely not endorse her. He's not throwing in the towel yet (which I can't blame him for) and is saying that she needs to make his supporters feel welcome if she expects their vote. Is that really so bad?

I mean... I don't disagree. I don't think name-calling serves any purpose. This was literally a primal part of me coming out in anger because I absolutely, above everything else, loathe betrayal with a passion. I never went on a tilt in any of Bernie's previous statements because candidates always get a little dirty with one another. This is something else though. It reminded me of Lebanese politics. I'm trying to get away from that ****.

Sorry if I offended your sensibilities. In retrospect I do regret losing my composure. I'll edit the post to be a little less harsh, but my intent remains. I am very disappointed in Sanders.
