OT: lemonade is a nice concept album, but i think the score is a bit high. i really enjoyed the visual film and its poetry. Y'all people are bent on assuming things. I said fave(s). But nevermind I'm too busy writing a thesis on how "Call Me Maybe" represents a dystopian point of view where technology is linked with the thanatos and salience biases. Carly Jepsen done beat Freud at his own game.

Fan since TF. Watched most of her interviews, saw all promo, etc. Went to art school and studied performance art, and am a performer. I know plenty about Warhol and what she meant by the reverse warholian experiment. She said she wanted to make art of pop music. IMO it had been done multiple times and much better than her attempt. Marina is incredible, would have loved to see Gaga incorporate more of her influence. Koons is just not that interesting to me, it is quite derivative of Warhol and the pop art movement, and doesn't seem to say very much on its own. Bob Wilson is amazing, would have loved to see more of his influence in her final product. SWINE was a song that dealt with the issues you stated, and was a very cool song indeed! I also loved the live performance. Overall, the album said very little of what she spoke of in interviews. The proof is in the pudding. It was a fun album, but not a masterpiece, and nowhere near as thought provoking or inspiring as Lemonade, or many other powerful albums. ARTPOP just did not have the depth or emotional connection. It did not hold up a mirror to society and dare us to peer into our own souls. It was a fun album to dance and workout too, nothing wrong with that. She had basically nothing to say on this entire album, and the worst sin of all it sounded cheap. The lyrics and "ideas" were not interesting, and any social commentary you are trying to squeeze out of it is absolute delusion. Please, enlighten me to this ARTPOPian ideal you speak of. I thought it could mean "anything." I love you.

But giving the album 100 out of 100 point is just not a good reflection of the album. With this score you're saying that her art is perfect that there is nothing that could have been done better. This is obviously unrealistic. So what is causing these people to say this? I think they get money, but it could also be influenced by emotions etc.

You guys are so damn pretentious Lemonade is a great album, but it's nothing groundbreaking or complex.
