One of the funniest threads I've read in ages.

These ARTPOP threads are always so entertaining because the album's most ardent defenders always attempt to paint (no pun intended) it's merit by describing themes and ideas that aren't actually supported by the album's content in the least bit, and always through the most vapid of tangents and fluffy, nondescript language. And then they say things like making an album that isn't cohesive is impressive (), and that they don't know what the difference between sarcasm and irony is. Please listen to more music, do some reading, and learn the difference between quantifiable thematic value and critical content, and your own personal interpretations that are influenced by dozens of factors extraneous to the actual work.

Always good for a laugh though

The judgement 

You find meaning or inspiration where you find it. If one of you doesn't like ARTPOP, that's fine, go listen to Born This Way or something else but don't call someone names just 'cause they like to think outside the box when it comes to this album. That was ARTPOP's entire message, think critically and be creative.

I totally agree with @notsoratedr. The album and the era was life changing in my case

I can understand why fans like ARTPOP, but I don't like the album. I honestly find it to be her weakest album to date. The Fame was decent with a few standout tracks. The Fame Monster was a masterpiece. Born This Way was somewhat chaotic with only a few standout tracks. ARTPOP is completely chaotic with no standout tracks. I simply don't like ARTPOP and it has nothing to do with sales. I find the album to be horrible. I wouldn't even say it sold poorly. It didn't sell as well as expected, but it didn't completely flop.
