Gaga is NOT Adele!

I getting kinda annoyed about some fans who expect Gaga to stop making dance music just because she needs to 'mature' as an artist. So apparently she needs to start making more Adele ballads (yawn...) and Amy Winehouse-style bops because she is so insecure that she can't hold off her own style anymore after what happened with ARTPOP. 

What people need to understand is that, we became Gaga fans for a reason. It could be for her image, her message, her talent, and a very big one of course: her music. Many of us became her fans after hearing bops like Bad Romance, Poker Face etc. So it's natural that what we like about and come to expect of Gaga is dance-pop music. She can still evolve in many ways, but there's an essence to it that we will always come to expect from Gaga, and to be frank, it might sound stubborn, but part of it is for her style of creating dance songs. 

I'm not saying she can't do what she wants to do with her music. She can do whatever she wants, nobody can stop her. But it's only normal that many Gaga fans will be disappointed if her new material is not what they expected. We can't stan for something just because it has the name 'Gaga' slapped on it. It needs to feel like 'Gaga', or at least what we expect of Gaga. Not somebody else. Not Adele. Not Amy Winehouse. 

I know might sound stubborn and close-minded, but I'm just speaking out from my heart.

well breakout news she can still do that on well-crafted pop songs and not only on TIHTY or Dope like songs

I'm open to anything Gaga wants to do except rap or country. I always wanted for Gaga to make a similar album to Pj Harvey's To Bring You My Love but at the same time I love Gaga's pop music as well. I listen to so many genres of music. I think the fans who expect no pop music for the next album are going to be the fans who will have the biggest meltdowns since she never said she was leaving pop music or even hinted it. A lot of fans act like Gaga made simple bubblegum sugar pop and yes some of her songs are that formula but there was always something organic with Gaga's music. She writes, co produces, comes up with visuals, fashion is part of the music, etc. Gaga has never been your run in the mill pop star. During the fame she had a more sultry image but she also had crystals growing out of her skin, hairbows and fire exposing from her breast. She always made people uncomfortable without the intention of reaction since she's always been a creative mind. Gaga even described herself as "the zoo animal of pop music" once.

I've became a fan of Gaga after Just Dance. But I could see that she was not a pop girl since she performed acoustic versions of her songs. They were always soulful and powerful. Over the time she matured into a woman who does not need the charts to become a legend. Gaga loves music, not pop. So she will continue to test her limits and explore new artistic ways to reach people. Songs like Dope,  Gypsy,  Till It Happens To You and Swine are all exceptional and far more influential than what Gaga could have done with Pop Music. I think she will stay faithful to Pop, but Gaga is not a pop exclusive anymore and you guys should realize that.

Oh and "showing her vocals" does not equal guaranteed success.

GP doesnt really about good vocals (see other pop stars who dont sing as good as Gaga) as long as the song is catchy, good and somewhat fresh/new they'll like it.

I think you're all kinda forgetting that she HAS been moving in that direction though. With the songs she's been writing, things she's been saying, projects she's been working on, vocals she's been using, producers she's working with on LG5, etc. it's all pointing towards that direction. She doesn't HAVE to do any of this, but I truly believe she WANTS to. 

At the risk of sounding abrasive I'm just gonna say the truth:

Gaga is going to do what SHE wants. If any of her fans don't like what she puts out next, it's just too bad. If you can't evolve with her and don't like her new sound, then you have the complete right to depart the fanbase and keep listening to The Fame. And she's not going to cry over it. She's not going to be depressed about her sales being low. She's not going to read your nasty tweets and Instagram comments. She's not going to stay up at night concerned that her EDM fans don't like her disco music with jazz vocals. 

She's going to fall asleep smiling ear to ear because she's doing what she wants to as an artist and not think about any of you. To expect her to keep making EDM pop when she doesn't want to, like some kind of hit-making-factory worker, is just selfish tbh.

How do any of you, after all the things she's said the past few years, STILL believe that she cares about her sales and commercial success? She's literally said dozens of times that that is what's made her depressed in the past, and that she doesn't care any more, and wants to do what she wants without thinking about it from here on out.

Stop ignoring what she says in interviews and believing your fantasies. Stop lying to yourselves and living in denial and just try to accept the truth.

It would be a huge mistake if she would try to be an artist like adele.

She is not adele and she will never be. She should become more serious and mature as an artist but in a different way.

She has to drop trash and cheap songs like Jewels N' Drugs, donatella etc and to deliver more relatalbe lyrics so that the songs would become timeless.

you say that gaga wants to be a ''pop ballad'' singer???

wait, isn't she the one who gave the definition of what pop is?? right? the woman who said ''pop music will never be low-brow'', or you think she was really passionate about pop when she was 22, and now she's bored of it, an will turn to ballads??? 

btw, she's not that careless about chart and sales as you think  why y'all think she's a singer who doesn't want to be on the top of the music? yes she ****ing wants to be an icon, don't pay too much attention on what she says in interviews, she just wants to seem like a victim of the music industry (do not get me wrong at this)

It's fine that fans would want to see their idols get success. Hell, we also get depressed when our idols don't. If something is good, we would definitely want to support it and spread it to a larger audience. That is all there is to it.
