I like Britney, but Gaga has spent her entire career shaming artists who lip-synch. Britney has always lip-synched and is one of the most well-known artists who is renowned for doing it... so I just find it bizarre that Gaga is a fan of her. That is just a small facet of who she is, that is like judging a person solely off being gay: you know very well that there is more to someone than that. The fact is, Britney makes amazing catchy music that everyone loves, and she was an example, a model for Gaga, she wanted to achieve what Britney had - that sense of superstardom that she revived with the Fame era because it has been dead before...and Gaga respects her for that. Because Britney is an incredible performer and Gaga has made a living on performance art? Because with the right producers, she has served some of the most timeless pop records ever? Yes, Britney doesn't sing, we know that, but her stage presence is legendary. She is sexy, sultry, and you can't take your eyes off her. I'm also glad she's getting her mojo back, the bitch is on fire. I can't wait for her new era, I feel like with her new found confidence, she's going to bring her A game again.
