The polls close at 9pm eastern time I believe. Usually real results begin to roll out within that first hour. It can take many hours to get the majority of the results.

You're missing my very succinct point. 

Of COURSE I want informed voters. I want America to be as educated, aware, involved, civic-minded, engaged with their community, good fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters to each other as possible. My statement has NOTHING to do with my belief on the lengths people should go to be involved, nor the work that they should participate in for the betterment of society. 

I'm saying that the specific action of voting, should be as clear, consistent, honest, and convenient as possible. Because other democracies should not be out-democracing (lol) us! We're capable! We're a great nation that can be greater. I have personally never had troubles voting. But there are many reasons that some citizens become unable to vote. I do not like that. I am passionate about civic engagement and whenever I work a get-out-the-vote effort- my goal is to simply encourage more to do so. 

I'm not missing your point at all.  We both agree that people SHOULD be educated, aware, involved, civic-minded, engaged with their community, good fathers, mother, brothers and sisters to each other as possible.  I also work get-out the vote rallies/campaigns almost every election cycle, and am just as passionate about people being franchised as you are.  However, I guess our difference of viewpoint is that you see voting as something that should be convenient for all, even if they happen to be impulsive, last-minute, uninformed, or joking voters, while I see early deadlines as a protection of our future government against those ignorant people.

To be fair, Tanner, I thought to Google it because of the current discussion, but were I considering a change in party, I would have Googled it just the same.  I keep myself informed as to the registration requirements and deadlines in my state, because I care about my vote and how it affects how the country is run.

Now I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off topic, lemme get back on.

I'm excited to see how many delegates Cruz and Kasich can siphon away from Trump on the congressional district level.

We're just restating our same stances over and over at this point lol. I don't believe in voter suppression of any kind. I don't support the kind we had in the past. I don't support the kind we have now. I don't want to suppress the vote of any person. This includes the impulsive, the procrastinating, the forgetful, the 'too-busy'. I can't really say it any other way.

If you live in a closed primary state you need to make sure you're registered and make sure you know the deadline of when to do so.

This is all available at your fingertips. Google search the information. It's not that hard. 

I know so many people who are like "I love Bernie" and I ask, "did you vote?" and they're like "No, it was too late to register" .... then STFU. If you didn't care enough to register on time then you are clearly not involved in the process. Keep in mind we have open primaries in my state so you don't have to be registered to a party. You literally just have to be a registered voter  

 

 

There has been over 100,000 people that have had their registrations changed. It's more than just a deadline, election fraud is happening in NY just like Arizona.

This statement in your previous reply is the one I was referring to. I'm saying I don't want to "protect" against their votes: aka, "suppress" the votes of anyone at all for any reason: including registration deadline ignorance.

They can't vote, at least not yet. They can fill out a provisional ballot, in the event the lawsuit opens the primary, but as of 4PM, the judge has placed the blame to counties, and will restructure the lawsuit against counties. 

Its not really a vote until the judge rules.

of course. The goal is to work with the system currently in place. But to ALSO question that system when it does not do what it purports to do.

It more than sucks, it's down right election fraud. Manuel entry basically means they can switch your vote, they manually input what you placed on the paper.
