Bad Bromance 5,809
Welcome to the 2010s, guys. Streaming is what's going to make an artist chart. You mofos better buy a physical copy and a digital one on iTunes as well stream the f*ck out of Gaga's new lead single when it finally drops. Seems that streaming is what's keeping these songs in the top 5 on the BB Hot 100 chart. I don't care what you think about unless it is about me. Do not want to end up in a wheel chair of the constant bs that happens in a RiRi thread. I'm talking in general and not to you.
kizurl 1,801
People are so bitter about Rihanna's success lol. This song is the best contender for #1 spot at this point. It's catchy as hell, original as hell, unmistakably Rihanna, plus everyone's gotta 'work'. I totally see the appeal of this song.

Just another method to get number one changes with times... does it make easier. Everyone would do it. Like everyone could not get a number one by tapes, single CDs, iTunes, and now streaming. The power of people make things popular and not how they get the material.

Laziest number 1 of all time. It's only number 1 because there is literally no competition. I could burp better lyrics.

DrewStevens 5,249
The Blurred Lines of this year. It's trashy, it's basic, it's forgettable, it's dumb... But it's catchy and shallow enough for our society that made McDonalds the #1 food chain of the world.

The non-Jamacian dialect? What makes it more economical? The point of the song comes across 100% clearly, with virtually no effort on the listeners part, while at the same time still being loaded with wit, double entrendres and wordplay that allows for multiple interpretations. What makes it more intelligent? Well, basically those the same reasons.
