Not to say an artists popularity depends on the radio, AT ALL..but regardless. I feel like most of the people who gush about Beyonce are not huge fans, but people who really live for the aesthetic of liking Beyonce. Like, they know she's popular so they freak out about it. Again, I don't mean this in a bad way or to demean fans. I'm just saying what I see, and I'm truly curious about what is that makes beyonce so "big" yet...not? I enjoy her music, but IMO none of it is a bop and I feel like she hasn't had an actual hit in years? Yet she's still apparently on top. I really admire her use of visuals to promote herself and her overall person in the world of pop music. You can tell there's a certain professional quality to them. Excited!
