May I ask why?

I'm concerned with both Democratic candidates' views on civil rights.

Which civil rights, because the Democratic candidates are overwhelmingly favorable in that regard.

Are you referring to gun rights specifically?

I'm referring to the Bill of Rights.

No, but there is systemic racism that she can't relate to. Being a woman and a grandmother doesn't qualify. That's like saying that black men go through the same struggles as black women because they're black. No, they don't. It's a unique experience that needs to be recognized if you're going to do something about it. Not to mention that the ad itself is an incredible example of pandering. She could have just as easily said, "7 ways HRC's like your grandmother." and listed the same things. There are definitely things that all grandmother's have in common, but it's a little poor taste and condescending to say, "this is how I'm like your abuela!" when, judging from the reactions to the ad, she clearly is not that much like them and could have very little conception of how it is being an abuela.

I see this as different from the Sanders ad where I don't think he's saying that he has things in common with the black community itself so much as he is identifying that he has stood by them and the well-revered leaders of the community. How effective he is with this ad is another question all together, but I see the intent behind it vs. the Clinton ad. They aren't doing the same thing. Neither are all that great at the end of the day, but I do think they are functioning differently.

You're putting to much weight to the term abuela. Abuela is the literal translation to grandmother and Hillary is a grandmother. Abuelas and grandmothers come in many shapes, colors and backgrounds but at the end of the day they are all grandmothers and they all have that in common.

You're telling me a Hispanic person with an abuela why I'm supposed to be offended at that article. It was meant to be humorous. People automaticly demonize Hilary. I think it's pretty incredible that we are having a conversation about a funny article that was not to be taken seriously in any way.

Also the Sanders ad has a Christian bible verse and used a picture of MLK. When did he change religions? When did it become ok to plaster MLK's face on campaign ads? I don't remember, but I don't even think Obama had an ad with MLK and he's black. Did he even use a Christian bible verse? If he did at least he was Christian. How can you be ok with this? Lol

It's natural for Bernie supporters to bring in examples about Hillary as a defense for Bernie.

Offense makes a good misdirecting defense I suppose.

Although in Morphine Prince's defense, he was talking to me specifically.

I am confused on the bible verse. The bible verse made me question the authenticity because Bernie doesn't really mix religion with politics.

HOWEVER he did march with MLK, and also HilLiary does pander to minorities for votes in really low ways. Just because she uses some spanish doesn't mean she cares for Hispanic/Minority rights... It's kind of low in the sense it's almost like mocking. Which is what I think offends some people. Just as HilLiary was on a radio show and responded to "What do you need to carry in your bag at all times" with the response "Hot Sauce," which made many people cringe, lol.

The Bible verse is bizarre, since Bernie is agnostic.

FYI, Hillary really does carry hot sauce everywhere she goes and has done so for at least a couple of decades. Some people just live their spicy foods! :)

That is true, using some Spanish words doesn't make one an advocate for Hispanic rights. However, Hillary has and continues to be an advocate for Hispanic and minority rights, which is reflected by the support she is getting from minorities in this nomination process.

Alex Jones is a complete nutcase.

His famous (or infamous) interview with Piers Morgan back in 2013 debating on guns was so embarrassing.

Don't mention Piers and guns. Mr. Morgan's never-ending, asinine, condescending anti-gun comments got himself kicked off his own show.
