It's the ch sound (in Slavic languages tho, not like in English or Spansih, it's closer to h or the German ch). Anyway, I think it only affects English-speaking countries. In Bulgarian it's always been Чехия (Czechia) and only alternatively Чешка република (Cheshka republika).
