Has will.i.am just blatantly ripped off Gaga?

I'm sorry that I've never seen this stupid exhibition a certain members keep mentioning, but unfortunately, I've had a life entirely separate from Gaga/I'm not currently trying to shove myself so far up her vagina it is is considered unbirth.

But Will.I.Am is not original. But neither is Gaga. Originality is not in concepts, but in executions.

So the concepts has probably been done enough.

But no one should be attacking each other over something. I'm pretty sure there's something that I've seen/know that no one else knows. And I'm not hoisting it over anyone.

Oh I've seen pictures of this.

But I never watch videos at home. It takes too long. And I'm on my brother's phone bandwith.

Its a cute video but it's pretty much just cropping heads onto real artwork. There is no message behind it. This is in no way related to ARTPOP and if you think it is, you really misunderstood the message on ARTPOP.

shut up and do your homework, girlfriend.

Who the hell are you? :laughga: I was talking to etron.

Yes. She did an exhibition of paintings coming to life and they were presented in the Louvre, which is where will.i.am's video is set. Educate yourself. I'm not saying she invented ARTPOP and this has nothing to do with the Mona Lisa. I'm saying the concept of a popstar becoming characters in Renaissance paintings, set in the Louvre, is kind of a rip-off.

But if it's true that will.i.am made this video before ARTPOP was released, then maybe Gaga's the plagiarist instead. :stalkga: Likelihood? Not very.

That was Bob Wilson's work.. where Gaga was cast:wtf:

How did the idea for these portraits come about?

After touring the Louvre’s vast collection I had thought that video would be a strong counterpoint to the paintings and sculpture exhibited in most of their galleries. I have been making video portraits for some years and thought that approach would be best given the Louvre’s strong emphasis on portraiture.

Why did you select Lady Gaga for your subject?

Because she has so many different personas and is such a strong performer. I could not imagine many other people being able to inhabit this world in the way that she can."

Wouldn't be the first time Will.I.Am stole something lol, all his music videos are always minimalistic and futuristic and then he does this, i mean.. long live ARTPOP impact i guess

OMG are you kidding me?! Seriously how many here live in abovementioned bubble of couple of years? The "impact" or topic you mentioned has been discussed and rebelled agains and been all around topic for DECADES and in all the possible manners.E.g In the 90's it was girl/boy bands, 00' it was Britney and talent show winners. For heavens sake it was a topic back in the day when movie studios really owned actors and record companies their singers and songwriters. There has even been big brands "owning" acts forever which were then rebelled against.

Let me now make it very clear before you further embarrase yourself ; Gaga and her rants and ARTPOP is in no way a "leading" format or a renegate in this subject, especially when ranting about quiting comercial pop music etc whilst performing in an event sponsored by Doritos or whatever -_-

tumblr_n4cf3zzI2F1ttovp4o1_400.gif

How about you don't put words in my mouth and avoid embarassment? Gaga is one of the leaders for the current generation of artists in music, I never implied it's something new for the industry. Gaga has been vocal about it since 2013 even though she hasn't used the best ways always. She made herself very clear about the Doritos partnership during SXSW.

There are users who do live in a bubble, but sorry to disappoint you, I get ARTPOP much more than the average GGD user. And I'm being largely objective and critical of it even though I like defending it. You are the one in a bubble of hate for ARTPOP, it seems.

No hard feelings, btw. So peace!

Can't judge tbh. The only legit impact ARTPOP can have on the industry is on bringing attention to the artist and its freedom.

Michael did that years ago with They Don't Care About Us, but I guess his efforts were forgotten :( Gaga maybe brought it back to light
