She doesn't have to make dance music in order to be a true artist. However, I feel what she has been doing lately is specifically designed to be as safe as possible. It just goes against everything that she started out as in her career. It's just super boring as a fan of hers to watch her go from someone who really did what they want to this woman who constantly seeks the GP approval. Shes got 150 million dollars or something stupid like that, she should be doing whatever the hell she wants instead of worrying about the public and medias approval. ARTPOP's failure was mainly because the audience was tired of what she had been doing for years already. It's exactly the perfect example of how this "courageousness" stopped working and selling for her, so a reinvention was a must, and everything she's done since 2014 has had its risk of failure, but it's Gaga we are speaking of. A flop album with flop promotion does not change that... a pop artist has and always be GP. A pop album is GP. ARTPOP was not anything the generally public hasn't seen, but when you disappear from the GP and release a random video things go to hell. Let's move to the next era and just not have Britney/Christina Aguilera esque promo. Bring that Taylor/BTW promo. 2 videos? Really. Let it go. It flopped move on. Still my bop.
