I don't think it is because of donut licking since only Americans cared about it and she's having a cute success currently in that country. So what could it be? People were expecting wonders of her, and when it was released, it received mixed reviews and even backlash (donutgate / religion). Both tried to replicate another song's success. Although TEOG was a success, it would have done much better as second single, or without Judas backlash. Same for DW. Ari wont recover till she falls completely aka ARTPOP.
