Actually after rewatching I see that the footage cuts right after he says "and I was lucky to..", so it's possible that he went on to say he worked on Gaga's album and that Garibay is one of the producers for that, cause I can't think of any other reason he would have had for bringing up Garibay there unless it was completely unrelated and they just spliced the clips together for no reason.

No link he just said he loves CTC and he's now working on something with both Garibay and Gaga. He didn't say if it's her album or not. But considering that Moroder said he was planning to work on LG5 I'd say it's for LG5.
