JLO is an asshole for working with Luke. Bottom line is that she's supporting a rapist. She needs to stop trying to be all over the place because we were tired of her a few years ago. Shame on her

Don't think it's doing badly just because of a boycott. Jennifer hasn't had a successful single for about 4 years now. She had a comeback but it faded fast. Plus, she's older and there's always that bit of ageism towards older artists. The song is terrible regardless of who produced it. And Luke hasn't been churning out hits like he used to. Look up his production discography - the hits have almost completely dried up after 2013, so his career downfall is nothing to do with Kesha. He's had his peak years when he made all those songs for Katy, Kesha, Avril, Miley, etc. Lots of mainstream producers go through this - they live fast and then burn out when their sound becomes tired. His downfall was already happening. There's no need to feel guilty for not offering support for the song. Your lack of support would hardly make a dent at this point.

But it turns out that Jennifer had no dealings with Luke in the making of the song. Luke made it in 2014 with Meghan Trainor and it was originally primed for her debut album but she decided not to use it last minute. After Jen returned to Epic Records, the same one as Meghan, she recorded her own version. So, it's not like they got together while the case was going on and made it. But it still doesn't excuse her. After all, if she knew the story but still decided to record a song with his involvement, the onus is on her. What was she thinking? Regardless of the outcome of the case, why would she think releasing a song involving Luke would go down well at this moment? This isn't like the old days where artists didn't know who made their work. Now they know, they can find out, they can change things. Any choice you make can no longer by claimed to be naive in this industry when you have all the information out there and certainly when you've been in the business as long as Jen has.

JLO is an asshole for working with Dr. Luke a man who has not been proven guilty and a business man. The world does not revolve around Kesha. You're an asshole for thinking that she can work with whomever she wants Dr. Luke has only been ACCUSED and was not going to let someone out of their contract that he paid money to work.
