It's interesting to see how housing costs vary in different parts of the world.  $500k in San Diego can get you either an older home (that probably isn't renovated) or a newly built one before the upgrades.  

Meanwhile, 500 grand can get you a mansion in Texas :emma:

Yeah. Thats an average

 

in some parts of Canada that will get u a big house, but in Toronto or Vancouver you get an old shoe box :air: 

 

My grandparents small crappy 110 year opd house in Toronto which they bough 40 years ago is now worth $1.1 Million :awkney:
