This just makes me sad.  She really empowered me to love myself for who I am and how I look.  Because she is modifying how she was born just ruins this strong, confident image I once had of her.

Yeah, she said she doesn't get why so many women take plastic surgery, and that she's born this way so she's never gonna do it to her self. I remember something on those lines too.

The thing is that I think she compromises that with the fillings she's getting instead. Those are supposedly temporary contrary to proper plastic surgeries :P

Anyway, she's playing with fire lately.

There are interesting conversations to be had about Gaga's use of cosmetic procedures. I don't know if this site can maturely have those conversations though.

You know, for a while I thought the temporary facial modifications were fitting for AHS, in the sense that in some very specific scenes (like after she SPOILER: died), her face seems much more refined and structured, compared to flashback scenes where she looked like her cute ol' self.

But... I don't know, it's a pretty touchy issue.

On one hand, it truly is her sole choice what she wants to do with her body. She has the resources to alter her body how she wants to, whether artistically or not, and it is within her own autonomy to do so.

And yet, it seems so individualistic and contradictory to her statements of the past (like you quoted). I mean, it is collectivism through individualism, but collectivism nonetheless, and imo it goes against what she has said before but only in that aspect alone, as it does not contradict her opinions on social, sexual, and political freedom*.

She has spoken about facial fillers before, in fact retroactively highlighting how it correlated with an awful time in her career and personal life.

"I think that's the thing that poisoned me from 2013 to 2014, or 2012," she said. "[Hearing] 'We just want you to look beautiful' over and over and over again in my head until I just wanted to look ugly all the time, because I'm rebellious. . . . It really crushed me. Like, I've won Grammys now. I've written albums. I've toured the world four times. You're telling me to look beautiful? It's all back to tits and ass? That's so sad."

The fact that she's spoken out about that, and how a lot of her aesthetics in ARTPOP were reactionary to that, was incredibly powerful. In a sense, I don't doubt that she still believes in that.

I think we just need to hear more from her, rather than just seeing, as we have been these last few months. 

She's a smart, complicated, and intricate person, and I'd love to hear about her from her own words, not from others.

I agree, I think it looks really bad and I'm worried for her health again. She looked so beautiful and healthy and natural around Applause in 2013 when I&V convinced her to stop. Really sad that she's gone back to them - yes, she's an adult, and it's up to her, but I don't have to like them and I don't.

I just agree with the OP. But this site is not enough mature to debate or admit Gaga is now kinda ''addicted'' to surgery and did lot of things to her face. But the start of it was even before the pics posted on the OP. It was during the blackout era, after the Born This Way Ball. She did something to her nose clearly, and started to inject botox and filler to her face, lips, etc. It's just super clear when you look at her music videos or interview before and after (Not doing to debate with the ''light, make up, and face tape'' excuses which dont make your nose smaller like that in any way, but fans prefete to be delusional). It's simple, her face during ARTPOP was just a mess (sorry just an observation not a rude judgment).

But now it got even worst. She doesnt look like herself anymore. It's so sad because we love her, and more than that, she just doesn't need it. But I guess it's hollywood. The old Gaga has died, the one again surgery, and hollywood plastic statements, the ''Born This Way'' one (and again not doing to debate with delusional fans ''you're stupid BTW was not about the body'' because clearly it was as much as the sexuality or accepting yourself).

We just have to hope that her music will stay on top of everything.

Inside she's beautiful, but the thread is about her outside beauty. I'm very sad seeing her new pics and writing such comments, but this is what I feel about that. We have just only face, why to ruin it, if it's actualy unique, beautiful and loved by millions of fans...
