OMG no way this iconic song is amazing! Everyone knows it! DITD and Monster should have ALSO been singles, man she was so huge during this period!!! But Alejandro is one of her classics! Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Alejandro, and Born This Way are her top five most known and still played songs!

I agree that the Alejandro video would have worked better for DITD tho. Great video, very X-Static Process Steven Klein Madonna!

I think it was the most radio-friendly song left on the album. Monster might have been able to reach its success or an edited Dance In The Dark (without the free bitch part).

lol no.

Paparazzi, Bad Romance and Alejandro are the essential Lady Gaga records and videos.

ask the real world. not your false idea of "GP" which is basically the stan world, 10-year-olds and some basic bitches using iTunes store.

Poker Face is a myth. it's not like people remember Katy Perry for Firework... or Elton John for Candle In the Wind, y'know? sales figures and journalism fillers like "the *insert song name* singer" don't mean ****.

No it was a good single and I Think it's one of the best songs on TFM

Nope it should have been Dance in the Dark because that would have smashed and lead to either Alejandro or Monster as fourth single and if she wanted she could have wrapped up the album with Speechless and an easy music video on the piano

No. To me, Telephone was the wrong choice. Yes, we got a great video out of it, but I think a lot of fans were hoping for DITD to be a single, but instead we got Telephone. Don't get me wrong, it's a good song, but nowhere near as good as DITD. I mean, there's a reason she used it to open the Monster Ball...

No, it's like second best of TFM, it was great (messy video tho).

But I guess it just didn't do as good in USA as in Europe because Europeans just have better taste... It was huge in Europe, just as it should be. :koons:

No, I love it and it's still played a lot in radio here...The problem is, there should have been fourth single and it should have been Dance In The Dark.

No, it has become her signature hit in Europe. Even today I heard it in mall

live each day like Gaga might drop an album

The only other song that would've worked would've been Monster, and that was too formulaic and predictable for her to release.

The video was a bit too much but it still separated her from her contemporaries so it's all good.

I loved Alejandro! It's still a bop. I have a theory that an artist can basically release ANY song they want when they're on a hot streak and it'll be accepted well by the public. So so many bad songs that aren't radio friendly are on the radio right now that I feel like are only on it because the artist had a top ten hit prior.

I always thought Monster/DITD would be the next single and was surprised when it wasn't. Still though, Alejandro was different and fresh, so I would never want her to have not released it. It was a good choice and I still hear it on the radio to this day. :hor:
