LG5 is just around the corner

The popular opinion of this site seems to be that LG5 will follow a similar release strategy to ARTPOP. Lead single in August/album drop in October. I just feel like this is so unlikely at this point. To me, taking the exact same approach that she took with AP, would backfire. People say that there are no major award shows for her to premiere her single on, but I don't think a VMA debut would be a huge boost. VMAs continue to lose audience members every year and aren't at all the award show they used to be. Others say that because Gaga is still in and out of the studio means that the album is still in the recording process. But Gaga being in the studio could mean a million different things. She could be adding a few extra tracks like she did with HML, recording music for unrelated projects or just adding finishing touches to songs. Others say that there is too much competition, but honestly this is the best time Gaga has had to release music than she's had in a long time. Only Rihanna's singles would block her from getting #1s and other big acts are wrapping up their eras and moving onto the touring stage. Others say that the era won't start until after AHS is done filming, but they film in July. Just because they film in July doesn't mean that Gaga is waiting until after July. She may have wanted them to film earlier so that she could begin a tour in the fall. I just don't understand you little pessimists sometimes.

I feel (for no factually based reason at all) that we will definitely get the lead single between now and July. 

I think people are putting it off until August & October in their minds to avoid disappointment and meltdowns. 

That and the fact that we have literally, like, NO information, or even a hint.

Edit: My complete guess is this: lead single end of May, album release beginning of July.

Realistically speaking, we just aren't getting anything before the end of the summer. And I'm being optimistic saying that - I assume she's gonna need some more time polishing the record after she films her scenes for AHS. At this point, I'm kinda expecting a Christmas release tbh.

I just know it. A Q4 or Q3 release would mean a lead single debut at the VMAs, and after they sabatoged Gagas Applause performance I don't care if she ever performs on their stage again.

she had an entirely different concept for her Applause performance there's pictures and descriptions of everything but the VMAs didn't let her do it she also had a plan for the red carpet to have multiple Gaga's for some of her iconis looks but they scratched that too since they wanted it to be the Miley show

I still want her to perform at this year's VMAs though
