The one I saw was a video and you could see her talking with the radio people. However, this proves she was basically planning the Aura video for a LONG time...she was really excited about that song being a single.

Lol you guys, the Telephone continuation isn't happening. It just isn't. She's moved onto a new phase in her career. New projects.

Realistically, I don't see her revisiting old concepts.

The sooner you accept this, the easier it will be to embrace this next era fully.

Strung out for another taste

It doesn't matter to me about the telephone continuation, but I wouldn't mind her bringing back a couple old concepts :/ I just...want that creative spark again that has been lacking since TFM ended imho

It's not that I even cared for Telephone, but if something says "TBA" at the end, I always remember it and want to see where it winds up. I don't even like Beyonce but considering she's gone through such a career rejuvenation and Gaga looks set to make a comeback, this could really propel Gaga back into major hit-making mode again. Most people who bring up Gaga now say something about wanting to see that Telephone continuation. The public still remember it and still want it. It didn't become iconic for nothing. But yes, it's clear Aura was the original intention but for whatever reason, it wasn't allowed to be released as an official single and now it's part of a video promoting a movie that flopped and got panned. Such a shame. I doubt Gaga now wants to remake the continuation when she already got her initial plan scrapped. She's not that kind of artist.

But hey, she isn't the first to not follow up a TBA video. Little Mix had a TBA at the end of their DNA video, which was the second single from their debut album. They're now on their third album and third single and there's still no sign of a continuation. There is a song that would work perfectly but it's unlikely to be a single. So, Gaga's not the only one who's given up on old promises.

And in terms of Beyonce, I have a feeling that something has happened between them in the past few years. But that's just my little theory.

Me too. I don't think they've even been pictured together in ages. I remember when Gaga was asked once about the continuation she said: "I don't know, I'll have to ask Beyonce." But that was before she made Aura. I don't know, maybe Beyonce went off her when her success dipped, being the opportunist that she is (she dumped Sean Paul and Shakira after they passed their peaks before her). Or maybe she felt two singles together (Video Phone too) was enough. Beyonce doesn't have a lot of loyalty to her features, I've noticed. Gaga, on the other hand, has loyally continued to collab/support Lady Starlight, Elton John, Tony Bennett, RedOne, Terry Richardson (though I'd rather she didn't) and a whole host of other people. When you're a friend of Gaga's, you're a friend for life. But Beyonce just dispenses with people when they're no longer of any use to her. She was maybe jealous when Gaga eclipsed her success with Born This Way the same year she released her underperforming 4 album that didn't even get a tour. Maybe led to some resentment.

I thought about all of those points too! Another factor might be that Gaga doesn't agree with Tidal.

They were pictured together a couple of times last year, but these smiles look faker than anything

Does the continuation necessarily need to be with Beyonce though? If ever?

OT: It'd be nice, only if the continuation was well integrated with her current project now, otherwise I think it'd be a bit misplaced if it weren't. The Telephone video and her past work have been phenomenal, I think it's best to just move on, and enjoy the next journey Gags will take us on.

If she decides to continue this particular narrative, cool, I'd be appreciative. If not, there are other, perhaps, probably better things to look forward to.

Short answer: No, not waiting :laughga:

Yes, I also do love partying in moving houses as seen in that one Bacardi tv ad.

True - in the first one, Gaga looks forced. In the second one, Beyonce looks forced. I never thought about the Tidal thing. True, Gaga's never been a big advocate of that. To think, out of all the many opportunities they had to perform Telephone live - promotional trail, award shows, special guest on a tour, the Superbowl...none of them ever happened. It's very strange. It's like they had different ideas and one maybe valued the friendship more than the other. I think Gaga's someone who Beyonce sees as a genuine threat. Back when they collabed, Gaga wasn't famed for her vocals and she wasn't respected as much as she is now as a credible artist. But over 5 years later, Gaga's vocal ability is well known and has received high praise, a kind you don't get very often these days, where vocals have taken a back seat. Plus, she's considered to be a multitalented person at doing different genres and has proved her instrumental and dancing ability too. So, not only has Beyonce got competition against her 2 talents, singing and dancing, but Gaga's got the added talents of (principal) songwriting and instrument playing. She's even turned her hand to acting, like Beyonce did (and got a Golden Globe for it, something Beyonce never achieved, even for Dreamgirls, her biggest role). She's been nominated for an Oscar, something Beyonce's never done. She's getting widely respected by older legends in the business, just like Beyonce has. It all builds up to a lot of competition and Beyonce doesn't like not being that #1 chick, to quote her own lyrics. Notice that, until Gaga, she never teamed up with a woman with a really good voice? Because she doesn't want to be out-shone. There's been so many big voices around that she could have teamed up with if she's so amazing, like Whitney and Mariah, but she never did. There was Celine, but that was with Destiny's Child. Solo, she doesn't like to be challenged. Next to Gaga, she worries that she'll look less talented.
