Like how Gaga's old producers would sing Radio Gaga to her because it reminded them of her and it became an in joke. Barcode and 1986 is assumptive, cryptic, self hype. The difference is that this is a very specific reference, to a very specific song. Why would they reference this song for absolutely no reason?
